It was the next morning Meredith and Derek were laying in bed, Meredith laying and sleeping peacefully in the warm arms of her loving husband until she was awakened by her phone ringing.
She stirred awake at the loud ringing sound. She opened her eyes and reached for the phone on the nightstand and pressed the green button without looking at who it was.
"Hello?" She said in a raspy voice as her throat was still sore
"Hello, is this Dr.Meredith Grey?" A male voice asked on the other end
At this point Derek had woken up, he lay there listening to her conversation on the phone with his face pressed to her back
"Yes, this is she, who's this?"
"This is Dr.Rodgers, you're brother William's doctor, there's been some movement"
When Meredith heard this she slightly sat up on her elbow still holding the phone to her ear
"What do you mean movement?" She asked as Derek tightened his grip around her waist, gently and softly kissing up her spine
"Your brother has been showing some improvement, he's started moving his fingers ever so often, we'd like for you to come to visit him, maybe you're voice would help"
"Yea, I'll be there soon, goodbye"
"Goodbye" and then she hung up the phone
"Who was that?" Derek asked
"That was the doctor, Williams doctor he moved a bit"
"Oh, that's good, you should go see him"
"Yea, I will, can you watch the boys while I go?"
"Of course" he smiled and kissed her cheek and went to take a shower

As she was driving she started thinking about her brother and all the things she did with him as a child it was surprising very bright out so she put on some black sunglasses and continued to drive to the hospital.
Once she arrived she walked into her brother's room he was still but she was told her voice might help so she decided to try that

"I know you can't hear me but I was told to talk to you to see if that might help," she said, it felt weird to talk to someone who looked as if they were a corpse So she got up and closed the door and went back and sat down
"So, to catch you up on something's I got married, got pregnant with triplets, well I had the triplets then got married, here in Russia I wished you could have been there but you had plans to lay in a hospital bed, their three boys Matthew, Devereux and Sullivan, you'd like them," she told her corpsed brother, she started to tear up at the memory's from her childhood With William, one second they were running around in a yard and now she was married with kids and he was corpses
It still hurt to cry as her eyes were still vulnerable from the previous events from her nightmare
"This is pointless" she sighed and as she got and was about to leave she heard something hit the metal bar of the bed
She turned around and saw that his hand had moved from in his lap to his side, she smiled and gathered her things and kissed her brother goodbye on the forehead and left the room
She told Dr.Rodgers about his progress and asks her chief for a day off to spend some time with her kids as they did have it rough, well she did, he allowed it and she drove back home and was greeted by her husband playing with her kids
She was happy maybe not perfect but happy.
They spent the rest of their day watching TV playing with their kids then put them down for the night and then went to bed themselves.
