-Beth-

We needed to feed, to gain back our full strength, Nik and I needed blood. I procured a stroller to hold my sleeping daughter and reluctantly let Dahlia watch her as we lay in wait. Two drunk festival goers stumbled into our path.

"Good evening." we drawled coming out of the shadows

"I wonder if you could help us, we're feeling a bit famished." Nik explained

"Um, I'm sorry, I don't have any change." The man apologised and i smirked

"That's no problem, we're used to helping ourselves." We attacked them and took one each draining them of blood. I hummed dropping the male as Dahlia came over but turned the stroller around and had it behind her.

"You must be hungry, considering what the two of you have endured." Dahlia commented

"I've never been daggered. Never knew it was such a agonising experience." Nik replied

"I would explain why you have a difficult time with the others." I wiped the blood from my chin with my thumb and sucked on the blood.

"The two of you will need your strength for what's to come. I suggest you replenish yourself before the storm." she turned and then I noticed she had gathered others for us.

"Sophia, doesn't need to see this." i say

"I quite agree which is why to protect her she will remain safely asleep and oblivious to the world around her." Dahlia glanced down. The two of us had our fill. Rain poured down on us as I dropped another body.

"Have you had your fill?" Dahlia asked us.

"Yes, I fell much better. Nik?" I turn towards him and he stands himself up after finishing his last blood source.

"Indeed. I'm beginning to feel like my old self again."

"I have been keeping an eye on your siblings. I can't see much but what I can see is that they have your hybrids looking for Sophia." I took out my phone and called Pippa

"Beth? Beth where are you? Sophia's missing." she vented

"I have her, call off the search but do not tell Elijah or any of the Mikaelsons. You do not answer to them. Do you understand?" I order her

"I do, but what's going on?"

"Nothing i can't handle, Have the family do a cloaking spell around the house, recall all home, I will call again soon." I hung up "It's dealt with."

"Maybe Sophia should be with the pack while we go about our business." Nik suggested

"No, Sophia stays with me. i am her mother and i will protect her and my son when i get him back." I scowl "But I need a carrier, we can't take a pushchair everywhere." I sped off and stole child carrier and some extra warm clothes for all of us. We headed for the bell tower while i changed my self. Nik did the same and I changed Sophia.

"My deadline has come and gone and yet you bring me here." Dahlia gestured around her.

"I find it fitting. This is where Freya plotted her own treachery." I finished drying and dressing Sophia I let her sleep is the stroller.

"When I granted Sophia to you to pull out the dagger and shift the bond I assumed you would thank me by taking swift and merciless action." Dahlia retorted as I stood up

"Which we will, the monsoon I've created has caused enough interference and soon it will pass. Then we'll begin." I declare warming my hands by the dozen candles on the table. Dahlia cause Nik pain.

"Are you having second thoughts about standing against them?" she questioned us "They are the family after all that left you to rot in one way or another." her eyes flickered between us

"We can assure you there are no second thoughts." Nik replied

"We struck a bargain for the benefit of your children, so that they would be delivered to me safely and be content by the presence of their mother and father. But make no mistake I will take them, with or without you." I flicked my wrist and she winced

"Let me be clear, you need us. We know the others better than anyone, strengths and weaknesses" I began with Nik continuing

"They are a determined lot. Perhaps capable of evening you for the short year you have until your slumber begins anew."

"Yet we know how to deal with those who stand in our way, my way and I will show them no mercy because they stand between me and my son. Nik and his daughter. That is our intention, the deadline is defunct. If you wish this to continue, we shall deal with them. In the end we get what we want right?" I stalked my way around and ended the storm "Give us some breathing room and have a little faith."

"Very well, but I will take what is owed to me, and of the mother resists or attempt to run I will kill her myself ." Dahlia retorted

"Don't worry about that. I have something planned for Hayley far worse than death." Nik smirked and I secured Sophia to me and left.
