Chapter Eighty - Backstabbings

We moved locations, Dahlia agreed to the change of terms in our agreement. I had collected Sophia now all three children were with us safe and with their adoring parents. Dahlia was preparing for the spell as the two of us sat on the back of the truck we had procured.

"You're quiet. Are you have misgivings?" Dahlia questioned as I cradled Daniel in my embrace.

"I was just looking for a polite way to ask what the hell is taking so long?" he sassed back to her. Everything was going well on our part, I just hoped that the others got the message.

"Well, we can begin now. Once we're linked, I'll no longer have to sleep for 100 years. Your concerns for my status will ease and I will finally be able to focus on Hope and Daniel." she approached us and I put Daniel back in his carseat.

"I will only need one drop of their blood and then her power shall be mine also." she explained

"And Freya." I glance back at her unconscious body.

"She's served her purpose, so tonight at the moon's apex. And once our link is severed the bond that I share with each of your children will become permanent." Dahlia answered and I sighed

"Let's get on with it then." The two of us moved past her and stood at the table. She followed and offered her hands, we took one each and she began the spell. Our blood joined and we were linked. I broke off as soon as it was done, Dahlia chuckled.

"With your strength I will never need to sleep for a century again." I looked at Nik and he nodded

"Well perhaps one more nap." I comment then stab Nik with the Dagger

"No..." she began to desiccate as well as Nik. I had used her advice and removed the link, It was Only Nik's blood in the unification, i did a spell of my own to make sure she was susceptible to everything, that deterred him. i placed Nik down then brought Freya back to life. She sat up with a gasp.

"Freya, Freya listen to me." I held her as she struggled "It had to happen this way, we had to keep it between the two of us."

"What going on?" she breathed

"Country to your belief your not the witch who broke Dahlia's heart, your plan would have failed without us, at least this way, we can do shit proper." I told her "I know we have no reason to trust each other but believe me when i say. I know what I'm doing." I took out my phone, and helped her out of the back of the truck

"What happened?" she questioned as i called Rebekah

"Huh, oh their linked, chill out everything's fine." I called my sister in law and waited

"You better have a bloody good..." I cut her off

"Bekah for once shut the fuck up and listen to the star bitch of the family, now put me on speaker." I ordered and I heard a tap "Marcel,sorry not sorry for the subterfuge. But you and everyone else is playing the Nik and Beth game so listen up, Beck now that your returned to your original body, you need to return to Elijah, he should be awake by now and super pissed. By the way tell him he absolutely deserves the ass kicking I gave him." I ranted at them down the phone as Freya got her bearings

"Bethany!" Bekah shouted down the phone.

"Yeah, sorry. Cami should have told him the highlights Nik gave her. Tell him that Dahlia is incapacitated and I am with a freaked out but alive and unlinked Freya. We're two hours north at an Orchid near Pearl River. I have the children all accounted for. Byyyyyye." I hung up and slipped the phone into my pocket

"Will you tell me what the hell is going on?" Freya huffed

"No, because you'll try and screw it up and i will be damned if you ruin all that we've gone through to get to this point. You and everyone in this family is playing by my rules because your all fucking dolts." I woke Sophia out of her sleep, I fed them as we waited. Elijah finally showed up.

"It's about damn time." I comment seeing him

"Nothing good happens in a clearing in the woods." Freya added now that she calmed down.

"Nothing good ever happens where my brother is concerned." Elijah retorted

"Screw you, you deserved everything you got. As you like to say let me be clear, Nik and i came up with a plan to kill Dahlia, we knew your plan wouldn't have worked." I pointed at my husband

"Yes, according to the two of you our ingredients were incorrect. Which one?" he wondered

"The blood of the witch she loved the most. It wasn't you it was your mother." I revealed to them taking Sophia and resting her on my hip.

"So we need Esther's blood. That's impossible, i killed her." Freya declared and I groaned rolling my eyes.

"I guess the saying's true, you can't fix stupid." I grumble kissing Sophia's head

"One incarnation." Elijah told her "Our mother is buried in New orleans. I presume the idea is to revive the original body." he turned to me

"Yes, now be a apologising husband and put the desiccated members in the back. You can join them as Freya will have the passenger seat." I move the children into the back of the truck.
