A R U S H I
Our mansion came in view . The gates opened automatically as bhai pulled up . Bhabhi and I came out then bhai gave the key to driver , who bowed infront of us .
I climbed the stairs then entered inside passing by the huge main door . I saw mom ,dad , grandma , anjali didi and Raghu bhai was talking in the hall . A smile crept on my face watching the huge smiles on their face. Then my grandma's gaze fell on me , her smile droped . She gave me a disgusting glare , everyone followed her glare when they saw me . They all rolled their eyes . All got up and left the hall .
My eyes were at the verge of tears when I felt a hand on my shoulder . I turned and saw bhabhi , she cupped my face ,“Aru , it's fine . Don't mind their actions . Go and get fresh ,I will tell the maids to send some snacks to your room !” she spoke while smiling . I nodded and walked upstairs to my room .
I freshened up . A knock appeared at my room's door ,“Come in!” I ordered . A maid came ,gave me a small smile ,“Good evening ma'am . Somya ma'am told to give you some snacks !” she explained , placing the plate of chocolate pastry and chips on the coffee table . I thanked her before she left .
I went to my couch and jumped on it . Taking the fork in my hand I hopped on the pastry . I am a great foodie. And food related to choclate are my favorite so does junk foods . The cream of the cake had strong flavour just as I like . To balance the sweetness in my mouth I ate the chips .
Bhabhi only know how I love to eat . I like sweet and spicy at a time in my plate so that if I felt much spice I can have something sweet and if much sweetness then something spicy .
After eating the food ,I completed my assignment cause tomorrow is Sunday and Bhabhi , bhai and I have plans like shopping ,movie , etcetera .
I rubbed the back of my neck as it was paining . I noticed it was dinner time . I ran downstairs since my stomach grumbled due to hunger . I took a seat beside bhai , bhabhi served to bhai first then me . I was about to eat when a voice boomed ,“Hey bhagwaan ( O lord ) !”
We turned , I saw grandma standing there with her hands on her head. We got up instantly . Other family members including my small sister , Ashi came running. “maa , what's wrong ? Are you alright ? Is your head paining ?” Dad asked grandma with concern .
“Something is wrong with your daughter . Is kalmuhi ne firse anarth kar dia mere ghar may . Sab ashudh kar diya . ” she snapped at dad .
( This witch again did a misfortune. She uncleaned everything !)
“I told you not to eat with us , I told you never touch the food until we eat . Then how dare you ? You made all the foods impure ! I am not gonna touch a single piece of that food ! Take it away and throw it . Prepare some fresh food” she shouted on me and ordered the maids .
“Wait ! Why this ? And for the last time grandma , my sister is not impure . She is completely pure and she will eat here and no one will prepare fresh food for you !” bhai argued with her . She gasped , dad glared at him ,“How dare you to raise your voice on your grandma ? Is this what I taught you ?”
“But she is wrong ! Arushi is not impure , she is a human like us , a pure human !” Bhai snapped . “How can you talk back to your elders for this peace of shit ?” mom yelled pointing towards me . I felt a pang in my chest , hearing their words . “Mom you're telling this . How can you mom ? She is your own daughter ,your own blood ! You are also a woman ,how can you speak ill for some other woman who is your daughter ?” Bhabhi spoke , looking mom with disbelief .
“Wow ! Now daughter-in-laws of Khanna family is taking back to elders . This is what left for me to see before dying ? Why god didn't take me to him before showing this days ?” grandma exclaimed shedding tears , dramatically .
My lips trembled , endless tears started flowing from my eyes . They kept arguing . I held bhai's hand ,he looked down with glare but his eyes soften . I shook my head ,“Its ok bhai . I'll eat my dinner in my room . ” He gave me a stern look ,“No , you won't ! ”
“let her eat in her room ! ” dad snarled . “How can you say that dad ?” bhai quizzed . “Shut up ! She will not die , if she eat late or don't eat but my maa can get sick if she will not have her dinner .” Dad spat back , throwing daggers to me .
“And you all , should I to tell you again ? Go and prepare another dinner !” mom screamed at the maids .
All retired to their rooms an the maids took the food and walked to kitchen . “Listen !” I called one maid ,“please don't waste the food . Feed them to stray dogs or some beggers !” she nodded .
Raghu bhai and Anjali didi were standing near staircase . Anjali didi glared me ,“all this are happening because of you ! You are a disgrace !” saying this she barged upstairs . Raghu bhai wiped the tears on my cheeks ,“aww , this tears don't suit on my baby !” I cringed at his choice of word . He just smirked and went upstairs .
He is my cousin , when he was 5 years old uncle and aunty died in an accidentally from then my parents are taking care of him .
I closed my room's door behind me . Sleeping in my bed , I cried my eyes out making my pillow wet . I didn't ate anything cause I lost my appetite .
Why me ? Why this happened to me ? For that night ? For that incident ? I am already depressed by that incident and this people are killing me . I still get nightmares about that night .
