Cha Hanuel don't know where to start. She have been so independent her entire life and everyone sees her as the toughest one, so she decided to never tell anyone when she's feeling anything. All of her pain kept piling up, they get solved but no one was ever there for her, there's no one she can complain to.
"One more beer in table 8!" Her manager shouted from the cashier when another customer called out for an order.
She huffed and swipe away the strands of hair falling on her forehead. "Coming!" She exclaimed, making the order and doing her job in a quick pace.
Haneul is poor girl who's parents are both jobless, her mom is a dialysis patient, her siblings are still young and she's the eldest. Because of her situation, she have to work overtime, got herself multiple jobs and stop going to college.
8:30PM, she went out, using the back door, still wearing her stained work apron. In both of her hands she carries two heavy garbage bags filled with left overs and filth. Clapping her hands once she successfully threw the bags on the trunk where it belongs.
"Yeah, like my mom bought me a designer bag since it's my first year in college."
"Really? You're so lucky! My parents only got me new workbooks, but they did promise to buy me new running shoes for our P.E."
"No way! Like my aunt was excited about my first day in college so she bought me a new MacBook!"
Haneul's gaze could only follow the voices of the three girls that walked passed by her. Her eyes instinctively looking at how they dress and down at her own choice of clothes. Compared to their branded dresses and coats, she only have her old stuffy hoody and a pair of dark washed pants.
She knows that she shouldn't be working at her age... She should have been studying, dating, having the time of her life in her early twenties, and she could have been that kind of girl, but her situation is different from the normal girls her age. She wasn't lucky enough to have a workaholic father, instead he's an alcoholic. Her mother was the best, but her mother's health wasn't. She was gifted two siblings who would've grew up sad or hungry if it weren't for her deciding to be useful in an early age.
Haneul had the typical life of everyone with a poor life who get only enough to survive.
"‘Cause you love me and I love you~" she hummed to herself as she walk towards the convenient store. Her last job for the day that will end at 4:00AM. "Just let me love you~"
That was the hardest part of being poor — Haneul is a fan girl. She likes BTS and her favorite member is Park Jimin. She earned just enough for her family that the only thing that she can collect as a fan girl is the illegally downloaded song from YouTube converted to MP3 in her phone. She didn't have the luxury to buy anything, no unofficial merch, no official merch, no nothing. And sometimes she just wanted to blame her parents for not preparing for the future and make her live like this. Like a robot having to work overnight to be useful, she have to pretend that she owes living in this world to her parents. Sadly, the only thing that is keeping her alive wasn't her parents but because of those voice that saved her.
Once she have arrived at the store, she immediately went to the staff room and took her vest from her locker to wear.
Her co-worker passed her the keys to the cash register before giving a tepid smile and immediately, he left Haneul in the cashier.
Hanuel giddily took out her phone and immediately connected to the store's wifi. The store wasn't really busy during her schedule, so she seizes her small rest time to watch all of the bangtan bombs and run episodes that she missed. She smiled sadly when she saw how Jimin laughed along his members in the video.
"And I know that you aren't going to be for me, but I don't mind the pain of staying here. If it means that I'd be happy... even for just a few seconds of imagining you and me." She murmured to herself realizing how she felt like she belonged in the video although she wasn't exactly in the frame. BTS never failed to make her feel like she's there with them.
