note: the beginning could either be considered completely and utterly disgusting and as though a thriteen-year-old imagined it, or cute. given my complete and utter hatred for cute things such as couples celebrating Valentine's Day, it's probably the first, but bear with it if you will :)
note 2: growing up and realising why Peter Pan was my comfort story/movie as a child hurt like a btch but oh well (we love mummy issues)
February 14th, 1979 - Nephera and Sirius's Home
Nephera had never been a fan of Valentine's Day. Granted, Sirius had been her first actual boyfriend that she wasn't only using for sex and attention, but still, the witch couldn't say that Valentine's Day was high on her list of favourite holidays. Thankfully, she was saved by the fact that, just like her, the wizard wasn't all to fond of huge displays of affection either, and so she didn't have to go to great lengths to satisfy him.
What she did have to do, however, was kick him out for the day in order to get everything set up. It wasn't the most romantic of actions, but it left the field clear, which was exactly what she needed.
So that's how Sirius found himself in Peter's flat on the night of Valentine's Day, admittedly not how he was expecting that specific holiday to go, "So, she kicked you out, huh? The mighty Sirius Black gets thrown out of his own house, on Valentine's, never thought I'd see the day," laughed the mousy boy
Yes, Peter was having far too much fun with the situation, "Says the guy that was free tonight," pointed out the other wizard, laughing as well
"Alright, I'll give you that. So, what do you think she's planning?" he asked in a suggestive tone, wiggling his eyebrows
Sirius rolled his eyes at the insinuation, but couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped his throat, "I don't think it's that. But if it is, I definitely won't be complaining," he sighed
"Listen, I was thinking, and what do you say about drinks and food on Friday? Prongs and Moony too, just the four of us. It's been a while since we've hung out just us,"
Only then did Sirius realise just how long it had been since the marauders had gotten together without the girls. Not that any of them had any issue with Marlene, Dorcas, Alice, Lily, or Nephera joining them, but he had missed the nights his friends and him would spend in their dorm back at Hogwarts, "You're right," he sighed, "Drinks and pizza?"
"Not if I can get Prongs to cook," grinned the blonde boy
Just then, Sirius heard Nephera's voice in his head, 'You can come home now, I'm all done,' he couldn't contain the grin on his face as he stood up from the couch, "Well, I'm off," he sighed, moving towards the fireplace
"Use protection!" called out Peter, laughing
When Sirius apparated back home, he wasn't expecting to see the living room transformed in some sort of fort, with pillows and blankets thrown everywhere, as well as food and drinks, "You uh, you didn't cook this did you?" he asked, raising en eyebrow
Nephera scowled at him, "Well aren't I just the luckiest girl in the world? What with a boyfriend who's so kind, and-" he cut off her rant with a kiss, smiling down at her
"You know I love you," he grinned
She rolled her eyes but kissed him back, before grabbing something from the table, "You'll love me more after this," she smiled, handing it to him
It was a VHS tape, the one muggles used to watch movies, and when he turned it around and saw the title, a warm smile etched itself on his face, "Peter Pan? Like that book I gave you back in sixth year?"
