note: I'm sorry, if it makes you feel any better I did cry while writing this

The second Nephera Winchester's body hit the floor, Voldemort had ordered everyone to disparate away, he had gotten what he wanted, he wouldn't risk losing in numbers because of taking unnecessary risks with the Order.
She was dead, he had done it.
Every single Death Eater was gathered in the living room of Malfoy Manor, awaiting for their Lord's orders, but for once, Voldemort didn't have a specific plan. He could do anything and everything he wanted now, because she was dead, "Nephera Winchester, an ongoing headache for the past three years," he started "Is finally gone. I killed her, the final obstacle for my quest to power has been removed,"
Cheers echoed around the room, while Regulus Black was trying not to throw up from behind his mask. They were all celebrating one of his closest friends dying, and he had to sit there and cheer alongside the rest of them.
He was disgusted with himself.
More than that, he was devastated. Nephera was dead, she was only nineteen, far too young for her life to end, and yet it had. It wasn't fucking fair.
The worst part was knowing that Riddle had won, the youngest Black could see it clear as day in the Dark Lord's eyes, he thought he was unstoppable now. So, when Voldemort raised his glass, accompanying the motion by the skin-crawling phrase of, "To Nephera Winchester, finally dying,", he snuck out of the room as fast as he could.
Regulus wouldn't let Voldemort win, not when there was one final thing he could do to.
After waiting for a few moments to ensure that no one had followed him, he tore his Death Eater mask and robes almost almost violently, before taking his wand out and disapparating away. When he opened his eyes a second later, he was standing in the Alley close to Ella's apartment, and with heavy steps and fresh tears in his eyes, he made his way towards the door and rang the doorbell.
Typically, he would simply apparate right into her bedroom, but that was impossible after he'd put up anti-apparition charms all over the building, "Who is it?" came Ella's voice from the intercom, and Regulus let out a sigh of relief once he realised she was alone
Whenever her brother or father were home, they'd be the ones to answer the door, but seeing as they both worked to support the girl's dream of studying literature and art, they were out of the house quite often. He had never been the biggest fan of Ella staying alone in such a part of London, but that day, he couldn't have been more grateful, "It's me, open up," he rasped out, clearing his throat and wiping a few tears that had fallen from his eyes
He didn't want her to ask what was wrong, he didn't want to waste time on that, he only wanted to see her for as long as he could, "Reg!" she exclaimed once she saw him, rushing to give him a hug, "I thought you weren't leaving school before the sixth,"
He hugged her back just as tightly, if not more, so much so that Ella actually felt the air leake her lungs for a moment. She pulled back, leading him into the small apartment and closing the door before looking deep into his eyes, "What's wrong?" she asked softly
"Nothing-" but the look on her face told him that she wouldn't believe that for a second, "Just had a tough day, that's all, love,"
The girl knew that Regulus didn't like talking about Death Eater business whenever he was with her, whether it was because he couldn't handle it or because he didn't want her involved, she'd never know. It didn't matter though, for she didn't push, she could tell that he wasn't ready to talk just yet, "What do you want to do?" she asked, pushing some of his curls out of his face
