You look squint your eyes at the bright light outside. Judging by the sun you've been in the castle for a long time.

Time flies.

It felt like you've only been here for twenty minutes. You've seen paintings, clothes, hunting gear, even a skeleton from someone from the royal family, or something similar to that. You couldn't even remember everything, you were trying to sort things in your mind, but it was hard.

I've barely ever left my house until I've met The Countryhumans. I'd never think life could change so quickly.

"The castle was beautiful." You say, turning to Romania. "I can't imagine how long it to build this."
"Many years." He says, looking up to his castle with a proud gleam in his eyes. He was in some kind of trance, lost in his memories. "Let me show you the garden." He said, elbowing your side. You smile and follow him, listening to the tweeting of the birds. The breeze brought the smell of woods and leaves, that we're starting to rot in the wetness of the fall.

I felt cold shivers go down my spine. Switzerland and China were also starting to worry. The walls were starting to close in on us. "The bus won't start anymore. We have to walk on foot." I finally give up playing around with the engine.
"I thought you were good with engines and cars." China says, squinting his eyes. I clench my teeth.

Why does he have to be so arrogant?

"We have to hurry." Switzerland interrupts. He points to the wall. "I want to talk to my family one more time." Switzerland had begging eyes. I sigh.

He never seemed to care about his family. You almost got the feeling he didn't like them. But now that they're about to die, he wants to see them one more time.

I nod. "Let's go."

We leave the castle walls and enter the garden. Green, everlasting pine needle trees were there, trees with golden and orange leaves whispered to each other through he wind. The grass was green and the part that stayed in the shade still had dew drops in them.

Romania looks at you as if he was calculating a math problem that was written on your face. Then he puts his arm around your shoulder and pulls you closer to his side. You look up to him surprised. His eyes were glazed and thoughtful.
"Are you okay?" You ask him, making him fix his attention on you once more.
He smiles. "Dragă, niciodată n-am fost mai bine." The he looks at you surprised face and apologetically removes his arm from your should.

You two walk next to each other in silence for the next five minutes. You feel glances on your back again.

You turn around to see the others throwing weird, envious glances at Romania.

They've been fighting again.

A pit starts to grow in your stomach again.

Maybe they don't even fight aloud. They don't have to, they know what they want to say to each other. The glares were enough said.

You look at Romania, who had also noticed their glances. He answered with a smirk, then he turned around again.

You chuckle.

I guess he isn't bothered when people are mad at him. That's one of the pluses of being socially awkward. He doesn't care what people think about him.

He looks back at you. Smiling, both of you walk next to each other, enjoying the silence.
