🗒A day before Nikkah
Afaf told Daadijaan & her mom - Abida that she didn't like all the mayoon/ haldi ubtan rasm...after a lot of requests Daadijaan told that only simple rasm will be done...elders will apply her small amount of Haldi ubtan & after that she can take bath & get ready for Mehendi function which was in their Garden.
Mayoon was planned in 2nd floor drawing room itself while the boys were busy in mehendi function decor...only close families & friends were invited for mehendi & Nikkah... While for baraat everyone were invited - relatives, friends, business partners etc.
When boys came back to see the mayoon rasm was almost done. Zayn sat with a pout thinking "ek baar dekhne tak nahi diya...mai thori na koi shaadi ki bhooki chudail hoon jo dulhan par haawi hojaonga... Bas daadijaan bhi na... Meri maasoomiyat ka faida uthaane lagti hai.. Huh..."
(A/N Facts - when i was small as in young...small toh abhi bhi hoon 🤧...i have heard stories of old times, mayoon brides were not allowed to leave their rooms for anything until the Nikkah because bad spirits possess them as they look fresh & pure after the Haldi ubtan thing...usually the spirits were addressed as churails - whose wish was to get married to free them from some curses & become powerful..as much as filmy it looks...i have seen the one girl who was possessed by them when I went to my mom's native place...& let me tell you...it was scary & I was soo chotu...itna dar gayi thi mai...this is the reason why elders say not to step out after once the bride had sat for Mayoon Rasm...since Nikkah / shaadi ghar par hi hoti thi...it was easier for them...its not always about Rok tok...kuch cheezein hoti hai jo dikhayi nahi deti par asar karti hai..long story short...jab elders kuch leh rahe hai toh bina argue kiye sunlena chahiye.)
Daadijaan walked out of drawing room to see Zayn sitting near stairs with a frown on his face... She chuckles to herself & goes to him & says " Kaise itna business sambhaloge bhai... Jab saari baat sunni samjhni nahi aati "
Zayn questioned " Matlab ? "
Daadijaan replied " Maine kaha Afaf bahar nahi jaa sakti mayoon baithne baad...ghar ke bahir naake kamre ke bewakoof... Qurat ki mayoon yaad nahi tujhe... Woh ghar ke bahar nahi aayi thi... Kamre ke toh bahir thi hi na? "
Zayn said "ohh haaan... Maine toh aise soncha hi nahi "
Daadijaan smacked the back of his head & said " Jaao bhai... Abhi kya sonch rahe ho? Fahaad 5 minute mein upar aayega..."
Hearing fahaad's name Zayn sprinted towards drawing room to meet Afaf.

He entered drawing room to see Afaf sitting on the chowki ( stool that is made for mayoon rasm)in a bright yellow color salwar suit with yellow duppata covering her head ... There were rose & marigold garlands around her neck & some haldi ubtan on both her cheeks & her helds held leaves which had laddoos.
