They had taken to the sky immediately afterwards, sparing no time in escaping Dreamland. None of the maids, Alice and Veronica being the exception to the rule, had actually seen her speak up to the King in such a way. The others were astonished to hear that someone had gained enough courage to speak to him much like how he spoke to them.

(Y/n) had no idea what it was that they were talking about, saying how she had no idea what they were talking about and claiming that nothing like that had ever occurred. "Well, we saw it and it was amazing! Honestly, good work, (Y/n)!" Alice cheered, a smile spreading across her cheeks.

"I didn't...what?" (Y/n) mumbled, turning to look at Veronica, who sat the other side of her. All she received was another smile from the maid, which didn't help the situation much.

Her eyes fell on the character in the doorway, stood with her arms in front of her, her hands brushing against the apron on her skirt. Mollie, it was Mollie

For a moment, she was stood there, a frown on her face and her eyes, which for once weren't covered, filled with despair. Gesturing the others to leave, she waved her hand and the two left.

A gloomy, eerie silence hung in the air, and each breath weighed heavier in their lungs. Whatever Mollie was going to come in and lecture her on would surely be negative.

Carefully making her way over, Mollie's expression was cleaned by a more neutral one, eliminating the traces of the previous. It was almost as though she were attempting to conceal something that was darker than she wanted it to appear as.

Taking a seat besides her, she sighed as she placed her elbows on her outstretched knees. Lazily, her hands dangled uselessly from her wrists, not bothering to move  and acting as though there were no energy left in her body to use them.

The scene was a very unexplainable one, and incredibly awkward.

She couldn't tell if Mollie was catching her breath or waiting for the perfect moment to ruin, baring news that would shatter her heart.

Had Meta asked her to send a message or-

"About that outburst.." She started, rubbing her eye carelessly," You have no idea about it, do you?"

They froze solid at the mention of it; the action that they were rumoured to have done yet had no recollection of.

" I didn't do it! I tell you! I'm sure, 100% sure, that I have never ever said anything like that in my life, ever!" She combatted.

Mollie's eyes were set on her, their shape narrowing. Their setting made it no better, since the sunlight was limited and the shadows grew larger by the moment, until no light cut through the curtains and they were sat in pure darkness, yet no time had passed by.

Naturally, or supernaturally, they assumed it was just Mollie taking advantage of the fright and morphing the world around them into something darker, yet darker.

It was cold, oh so cold, and the area around them was as empty as the vast void of space itself, minus the stars and the limited sources of light that passed through. (Y/n) was surprised that they were even sitting, still, seeing the fact that there was nothing there but the two witches and the darkness of the place.

A scarce amount of light came from above them, allowing them to see one another in the void.

"You..." She continued, her voice lower," you're letting the temptations of witchcraft and supernatural abilities haunt your every thought, hoping that you could wield it as your weapon of choice against every threat you will come to face, from social interactions to battles. It has become a part of you that you have come to realise has replaced your old self, as you view the new you as someone able to be deemed as superior. This power has you believing that your place in the world is going up, and you are no longer what you once used to be..."

(Y/n) saw no faults in wielding the power that they had built up for herself, but they were in the least concerned by the way she had worded it. She knew that she had to ask what was so wrong with it all.

"What's so wrong with it all?" She questioned, hoping to express how clueless she was.

The pink in her eyes lightened for a moment, before fading the slightest," You simply don't understand the grasp the power has over you. Greed, it's getting the better of you. Don't feel above others because I have given you this power. I gave it to you, knowing it was no mistake, but just know that I can take it away from you if you give in to the corruption. Humble yourself."

"What does that mean for me, though?" (Y/n) said, feeling a petite frown form on her face.

"Your power needs leashing, or else it can be the death of you." The witch warned, taking her hands in her own to get her attention," Make sure you don't allow it to consume you, as it will dominate you and you'll fall dormant; you won't have control over yourself."

Standing up in a hurry, (Y/n) dusted herself off and gave a form of scowl. Mollie's eyes widened at her mentee's change of heart and hoped it wasn't for the worse.

Prodding Mollie in the collarbone, (Y/n) threatened," You have no power over me, worthless swine! Know that I am an inexplainable god among you fools, and I will never do so much as bow my head as I walk among you. As a suitable compromise, you can bow before me.."

The same flame hung above her hand, and she held it closer to Mollie, using the hand that prodded her to grab her neck and pull her closer.

"tneverp!"  Mollie screamed, throwing her hands forwards and firing club-shaped projectiles at her, projectiles which (Y/n) barely managed to avoid.

"regnad, regnad." She repeated, holding her throat in pain, wincing at the girl who she once knew, who had become a stranger to her.

The room returned to it's normal colour scheme and the shadow shrank again, cast only by the light that swam in.

That was where she sat, having no recollection of any of it.
