TRUE TO HER word, Calypso did end up stealing Erica away for a few hours of magic lessons when she could. After all, Jaclyn had stayed true to her word and gave her the magical item (though Erica still doesn't understand what it was or what it was used for) and right now she just needed a break, Calypso was pushing her to her limits and was not relenting

She was tougher than Regina, but some part of Erica was thankful for that.

"Magic flows all around you. It's in you, it flows through every nerve and every muscle in your body. It's built for you. It's nothing to be scared of because magic is not simply good or bad, it's how you use it that sways the magic. I know you think you are destined for dark things, to worship the darkness but that's your choice and for now, it's my job to teach you how to use your magic so that you can do everything you're destined to do"

"I know, you've said that like a hundred times!"

"Then listen or are you incapable of following simple instructions?" Calypso bit back, not rising to Erica's level of anger but Erica was tired and frustrated and they had been going at this for hours and Erica had been able to do little more than transport a tankard a few metres "Have I made a mistake I thought you were supposed to be a wielder of powerful magic the future Dark One, am I wasting my time with you?"

"Just let me have a break!" Erica panted, bending over, she has hair sticking to her forehead and she was thoroughly beaten down, tired and needed a break which consisted of food and a nap in no particular order  and then perhaps later she could have a make-out session with her pirate girlfriend

"No, not until you learn how to move this object more than two meters"

"I've been doing this for four hours. And reading for three hours"

"And we'll keep doing it until you learn how to do it!"

"Ugh, now I know why Jack called you a selfish sea fearing madam bitch!" Erica bit out, without meaning to but in her state of exhaustion, she had forgotten to keep her temper in check. However, Calypso just smirked. Clearly having heard worst from Jaclyn over the years  and she clicked her fingers and instantly Jaclyn was at her side, a handful of the pirate's hair in her hand as she forced her head up and Jaclyn struggled against Calypso until her eyes found Erica, looking back at her with wide and panicked eyes

"You'll be okay, just trust your instincts and let go," Jaclyn told her and her girlfriend's calmness about the whole situation and she felt herself relax, more at ease when she knew Jaclyn was watching her and she knew a little more about Jaclyn's relationship to Calypso and so she knew they were friends somewhat so if Calypso did hurt her it wouldn't be too bad. What emboldened her, even more, was Jaclyn's next words "If you fall too far, I'll catch you"

Suddenly an idea sparked in her head and when she focused she could feel the magic crawling under her veins begging for relief -- and just like that, it all happens so fast before Erica could blink she was swept up in a mass of dark, deep purple smoke -- she was suddenly next to Jaclyn and Calypso was a few feet away from them watching on
