ERICA DOESN'T RETRACT her statement from earlier, Blackbeard was intimidating and it made it seem even more intimidating when she was in the cabin all alone. She had no Jaclyn there for her this time, she had to do this by herself and it was fine because she faced Pan and was the first to figure out the town was cursed (well beside Henry) and so she could do this

She could stand up to Blackbeard

She had to

"Erica Swan," Blackbeard said, as he nodded his head towards one of the seats on the other side of his large desk as he combed scarred hands through his neatly manicured and braided beard

"Blackbeard" She stated, trying to keep her nerves at bay and be as unfeeling as she could but it didn't seem to wash with Blackbeard as he seemed to be able to sense her unease but carried on regardless

"I heard you were the product of True Love and you have displayed an impressive amount of magic and power, that's if my eyes are to be believed my dear," Blackbeard said and so help her if she didn't like the way her skin crawled even more so when magic threatened to burst out of her

"They are" Erica confirmed with a nod "Would you like me to prove it again?"

"I would rather not have my daughter placed in that position again" Blackbeard responded coldly and Erica felt her eyes widen as the realization of the statement hit her -- she had no idea that the edgy woman was the daughter of the most cutthroat and bloodthirsty pirate legend had

"Angelica is -- is your daughter?"

Shit.

Shit. Shit. Shit, she had just tried to kill the daughter of Blackbeard. How could she have been so recklessly stupid? Dumbly, Erica sat there glued to her chair, every cell in her body wanting to run but unable to and Blackbeard sat there amused at her expression upon the realisation of who exactly Angelica was

"Whose did you think she was?"

"I don't know" Erica admits hesitant as ever, finally finding her voice again. It was difficult to speak to Blackbeard. Talk about throwing her to the wolves but that didn't mean that she was going to back down "I guess I just didn't put the pieces together"

"Well let's hope you're more quick-witted when it comes to magic"

"What do you mean?"

"I am not as stupid as I appear to be and I hoped you would not be stupid enough to lie to my face when I could kill you quite easily, even with your magic. It appears that Jaclyn Sparrow's foolishness has rubbed off on you as it did my daughter but I know you are not just the product of True Love -- and that there's a prophecy hanging over your head"

All the air was sucked from her lungs and Erica didn't dare take a breath: She had purposely not told him of the prophecy thinking that would give her an advantage but it was all for nought as he had known about it anyway and her brain could only let one-word slip past her lips in vain "H-How?"
