ANNAMARIA'S LAUGHTER IS chased away by the large gulp of rum she takes from the bottle nursed between her fingers, and it floats into the air and disappears with the rock of the ship "I can't believe you -- you -- you did that"
Jaclyn nods her head and Erica winces at the mention of their first meeting...Well, most likely it was Emma chaining Jaclyn and Killian to the castle with the giant on it at the top of the beanstalk. Erica remembers what she said to Jaclyn back at the hospital when she said she wouldn't do the same thing that Emma did, and she stands by that
"Hey I know I said I wouldn't do the same thing as Emma but like I said before I still think you were kind of an ass when we first met -- for God's sake I found you amongst the debris and a field full of corpses which really turned my stomach but I'm glad I met you, I just wish it was under better circumstances"
"Yeah Cora was a real bitch when it came to things like dark magic...and well murder and Killian and I couldn't really do much save for being on the other end of her wrath and we tried really hard to you know not to die although I'm not sure whether or not at the time I was actually immortal or not...I think I wasn't immortal because when the curse had finally been broken by you and Emma--"
"I didn't break the curse that was all Emma"
Jaclyn raised an eyebrow, curiosity sparkling in her eyes as if she wanted to know more but she didn't press and for that Erica was grateful and she continues as if Erica had not spoken at all "I felt weak...Wait that's not the right word, not weak but not as strong as I should have been. Have felt in the past and I tried to stay out of the way although not out of trouble until that night I was shot"
"You were shot?"
Jaclyn nodded slowly, not sure if they had already covered this topic. Maybe it was the rum distorting all their memories but she decided to answer it anyway "Sí I was shot by Rumplestiltskin who wasn't all that pleased that Lian and I erased the memories of his lover--"
"Why the hell would you do that to an innocent woman?"
"Because that man is a vile creature and by destroying Belle's memories we were able to destroy his heart" Jaclyn gritted out, her teeth locked and her jaw as tight as a pulled elastic band
"So because she and Killian were stupid going after an immortal man, she got herself shot and Killian got run over by a car" Erica drawled lazily, buzzed with too many glasses of rum as she summed up the events of the night
"He was going to shoot 'lian I had ta do something!"
Her perfect speech was marred for the first time that evening and Erica almost smiled in triumph, hadn't it been for the pain in her eyes and so Erica messily, clumsily climbed onto her lover's lap, it was intimate -- may be too intimate for the present company but neither cared, with rum bursting in her veins alongside fire she was done with being cautious
