HENRY BOUNCED EXCITEDLY in Erica's laps as she once again sat in the throne room, although she wasn't in a fancy ball gown dress anymore, nor had her hair pinned up. Instead, she was cosy in one of Jaclyn's shirts, and breachers with a leather heavy coat as the castle wasn't very warm that morning and they were all sat on the floor with no fire to keep them warm

Rapunzel, Casandra and Eugene were listening to stories of her childhood, at Rapunzel's insistence than they all get to know each other a little bit better, so they could start to build an alliance as the two curses have caused unrest and

Jaclyn, Elizabeth and Will were there too and eagerly awaited her next story

"So Aunt Ric what  stories have you got?"

"Well okay well I was abandoned on the side of a highway and for twenty-eight years, I didn't know who my parents were. I just thought they were these people that abandoned my twin and me on the side of the road and for that length of time, it was just us against the world. We did what we had to do and at times it wasn't pretty, I did some unsavoury things...We both did because we were just trying to survive, we were just kids that a system didn't really care about but I digress  I have often bounced around from foster home to foster home, not because I was any trouble but because my sister ended up getting into trouble quite a lot so they would drag her from foster home to foster home and I wanted to stay with her because we were all each other had, you know? When I finished high school I enrolled in the Boston Police Force, staying there long enough to complete my training before I move 'round the country with my sister for a few years before returning to Boston and taking up a permeant position before I moved to Storybrooke and took the job as Sheriff"

"You've had the life of a pirate"

"I guess I have," Erica said after a minute "I didn't really think about it"

"As I told you long ago, you Erica Swan, have an interesting story to tell. The only difference is now you have people with who you can share it. Now it's not just your sister and you against the world, you have an army behind you of people that love and support you"

"I know...I guess I'm still not used to it"

"Well get used to it Swan because I'm not going anywhere. I've found my place and that is with you" Jaclyn said with a soft smile and Erica swore for a few minutes her heart stopped beating. How could somebody that had been through much and seen so much still have this deep expanse of compassion that she has ever seen?

And still, she manages to look like a Godamn angel

Erica scooted closer to Jaclyn, twisting their hands together as Jaclyn rested her arm across the top of Erica's back and she nestled into her girlfriend's side, warmth spreading around her body and she sighed, in Jaclyn's arms she felt warm loved and safe
