Chapter 6: Music to my Heart

2nd person:

It is a week before the Festival Encanto. You were planning to maybe sing a song since it was something you usually did every year. Although you always sing love songs but it was never directs to someone because you never had anyone to direct it to. Now you do. Your sweet, kind, handsome Camilo is the one you will be singing for this year.

You guys panned your date but it won't be until after the festival and after Christmas. You both wanted to have it around the new year so it can take place near the holidays.

You were sitting in Camilo's room toying with the guitar that Julieta got you a couple of years ago for Christmas. You hear the sound of Camilo's voice from the other side of the door. Your excitement got the better of you and as you tried getting up from the bed you fell on the floor. Camilo walked in with the sight of you on the floor and immediately rushed to your side.

(Camilo)
"Mi amor! Are you ok??"
(Y/n)
"Hah yeah I'm fin- wait did you just call me, mi amor?"
(Camilo)
"O-oh um yeah.. sorry it just kinda slipped out. I won't call you that anymore if you don't want me to."

He seemed quite embarrassed.

(Y/n)
"You don't have to apologize Cami, I'm just kinda sad that you gave me a cute nickname before I could give you one."
(Camilo)
"Uh huh and what about 'Cami'?"
(Y/n)
"Besides that one, I mean like a cute pet name like mi amor. OH what if I call you mi vida!!"

Camilo chuckled at the sparkle in your eyes when you thought of to call him mi vida. He loves the way you face brightens or the way you get so excited over the tiniest things.

(Camilo)
"I'd love that, mi amor~"

[time skip]

This is it the last day before the Festival Encanto. Your going to be singing in front of the whole town. Although you've done it before it made you quite nervous because now your singing a song dedicated to Camilo.

You've been going over the song for quite some time now, so just to practice you when to the waterfall beside the woods just to hear yourself sing.

As you finished the song for the fifth time now, your nerves take control of you and you start overthinking everything. Wondering if the lyrics are good enough. It got so bad that you you walked 2 miles down the mountain then you got Luisa, Isa, and Maribel, and you all when back up the mountain that felt more like 3 miles.

(Y/n)
"I'm sorry for dragging you guys up here! I just want to double check with someone else to see if the song is good enough. I don't want to mess up! That would be so embarrassing especially since this is the first love song that I've written that is actually dedicated to someone and that someone is Camilo. What if he doesn't like it? I don't think I can ever look him in the eye again. I-"
(Isabella)
"Y/n calm down! You're going to do great and Camilo will love your song."
(Luisa)
"Yeah plus you have one of the best voices we've ever heard!"
(Mirabel)
"Y/n I get that your nervous but you don't have to be Camilo will love every word that comes out of your mouth. Does he even know that it's dedicated to him?"
(Y/n)
"Actually no..I wanted to make it a surprise."
(Isabella)
"See! That's great! Not only will he be happy your singing it for him but he'll appreciate the time and effort you took to make him a love song."
(Mirabel)
"Yup and the one thing Camilo likes other that you, and pranking people, is romance. You're gonna rock this y/n!"

Dolores comes out of a bush and says that Abuela said it's dinner time. Everyone stares at her like she's crazy or something.

(Y/n)
"We're you behind that bush the whole time?"
(Dolores)
"Yup, I'm surprised you didn't notice I was also standing next to that tree. You have a beautiful voice y/n. Also Camilo is freaking out about what he's going to wear tomorrow to impress you. So I suggest you go down the and calm him."
(Y/n)
"Hah alright thanks Dolores!"

You all head down back to casita. As Dolores said Camilo was freaking over what to wear tomorrow. You knocked on the door before you came into his room. He was in front of his mirror looking at which colored ruana to wear.

(Camilo)
"AH mi amorrr! How long where you standing there."
(Y/n)
"Long enough to know that you look cute in either poncho. Plus mi vida you don't need to impress me, I'm already yours."
(Camilo)
"I know mi amor.. OH I'm so so sooo excited to hear you sing tomorrow. And just so you know whenever your nervous just look at me ok."
(Y/n)
"I will!"

The night continues on until tomorrow where the Festival Encanto awaits for everyone. It's a celebration of the life and beauty of the wonderful and magical Encanto that everyone was blessed with.

A/n:
I also loved writing this one!! I might do any other chapter today but if not then I'll have my regular 2 for tomorrow. Adiòs for now!
