Chapter 20: Escape room

2nd person:

Today you and the Madrigal family plus Mariano were going to do an escape room. An escape room is pretty simple, you just escape the room. Although there is a series of riddles you have to solve to get out, and you must do it in a certain amount of time.

You all made your way to the practical store in town. Which is where Camilo gets his supply for pranks. He was the one who suggested it, and you were the one who convinced everyone that it would be a nice bonding time together.

When everyone got there, Camilo introduced the owner who's name was Andreas.

(Andreas)
"Alright folks! It's pretty simple actually! You will get into groups of two, and work through a series of puzzles, tricks and riddles! When you and your partner make it out of the small room, you will then enter a much bigger room where you will all meet each other! Then with the skills you used to get out of the small room you will help others complete the riddle to escape under the certain amount of time! Any questions?"
(Mariano)
"How much time do we have to get out?"
(Andreas)
"You have 30 minutes to get out of the small room, and an hour to get out of the big room."(Camilo)
"Are all the small rooms the same?"
(Andreas)
"Nope! They are all completely different, with a theme I might add! Is that all the questions?"
(Everyone)
"Yup!"
(Andreas)
"Alright! Get into your two person groups! "

Groups:

Abuela & Bruno

Pepa & Felíx

Julieta & Agustín

Dolores & Mariano

Isabella & Luisa

Camilo & Y/n

Mirabel & Antonio

(Andreas)
"Alright folks! May you please take a step with your partner in front of your door. And let the games begin!"

{Abuela & Bruno's POV}

As we walked into the room, the theme became obvious... We got witches.

The walls were filled with blood printed hands, and you can see an old torn tent that looks as if it had been raised. There were crystals hanging everywhere, and the main object was a wooden bar. Which had two ropes that were tied in a noose. Probably a prop for the witch trials in Salem.

{Pepa & Felíx's POV}

Walking into the room and then walking straight out. (Mostly Pepa) Although we had to go back in.

Our theme was clowns..

Were both terrified of clowns. (Again mostly Pepa)

There were red balloons in almost every corner of the room. It was filled with clown paintings everywhere and even a life size clown!

{Julieta & Agustín's POV}

We mostly did this for our kids but we enjoyed the ride. We ended up quickly finding some clues to lead to our escape. Although we were in a room full off mirrors so it felt like an isolation room.

{Dolores & Mariano's POV}

We found clues rather easily. Since I/ Dolores could hear things, it made it quite please. Although Mariano was squealing majority of the time.

Oh and our theme was ghosts..

{Isabella & Luisa's POV}

We got creepy dolls.. need to say anymore?
I think not..

{Mirabel & Antonio's POV}

We got Vampires!! We tried our best to figure out the clues but we got scared by the weird coffin that looked like it was going to snatch our souls!!

{ Camilo & Y/n's POV}

WE WERE IN THE DARK!
LITERALLY IN THE DARK!

We ended up finding some clues though so we should be fine...right?

3rd person:

Everyone ended up making it out although barely in time.

First Dolores and Mariano made it out! Then Julieta and Agustín. After them it was Isabella and Luisa. Right on their tail was Abuela and Bruno. Then the last two groups were Mirabel and Antonio, plus Camilo & Y/n.

With that the timer started! Everyone was scattered in the huge room. Teams split up again to work more efficiently. Which ended up working! You and Camilo figure out a puzzle, while Isabella and Luisa were finding clues hidden in the tarot readings.

In the end you all escaped!!

(Andreas)
"Wow! You guys made it just in time!!"
(Antonio)
"How long did it take us?"
(Andreas)
"57 minutes kid! You guys worked well together!"

[ time skip]

By now it was night time. You finished taking a shower and when you came into the room you saw Camilo huddled up with his blanket in the corner of his bed.

(Y/n)
"Cami? Are you ok?"

He nodded and turned around so you could get changed. After you finished getting into your pajamas, you hugged him from behind which caused him to flinch.

(Y/n)
"Cami.. are you sure you're ok?"
(Camilo)
"Actually...I'm still kind of scared. I know it was an escape room and it was themed scary but the whole time we were in the dark I couldn't stop thinking about never being able to see you again. I know that'll never happen! Hopefully... but still. It was terrifying to even think of being without you. You make me so happy! And I don't think I can handle that being taken away from me."

At this point he was tearing up. You laid down in a comfortable position and let him softly cry into your chest. To be fair, you know how scary that would be for him. You don't know what you would do without him either. You two have been through so much together so even thinking about being apart is unbearable.

After a while he stopped crying. You lifted his chin up a bit and kissed him softly on the lips. He fully climbed on top of you and laid down in a position that was comfortable for the both of you.

You two cuddled until you fell asleep. Today was, a day full of emotions. But one thing you know for sure, Camilo is your happiness.
