You were the DNA intertwining in my cells, in the way that without you, never could I imagine to exist. You walked into my life, fumbling through the broken rubble of my past. Parting through each battered brick engraved with a burden I was never strong enough to carry on my own .

You stood before me with eyes so gentle and a smile so genuine, as if to say that my search would be over. You've finally arrived. You took my sorrows and made them your own.

Never have I been able to breathe so effortlessly without the feeling that all my troubles were piled among my chest - leaving my breathing rugged. I find tranquility in laying on your chest and just listening to your heartbeat. Each beat sending a wave of assurance into my veins. At times I feel overwhelmed by all these emotions bubbling inside of me.

So intense and confusing.
