✓ My Brother! (BakuDeku)

▪ Chapter 29 (Let's Go to the Festival) ▪

     The kids were staying in a rented building. It looked like a hotel, but it was perfect for the group. They each had their own rooms, just like dorms but temporary. Even Aizawa and Yamada had a good time.

     Katsuki soon was entertaining himself with the local magazine he picked up near the beach. It had one interesting headline. A festival, one near here, was this week. It aligned perfectly with the group's off-time. It would be a good event for the class to participate in. But more importantly in Katsuki's mind- a perfect date plan. 

     A knock was heard from the door, and Katsuki glanced at the clock. It was late, but not late for the group of extras he called his best friends.

     He opened the door in haste, ready to chase away his friends with a grunt and a slam of the door. So, when he opened the door, he was not expecting a sleepy Izuku leaning against the doorway for support. 

     "Uh- Deku-" Katsuki sputtered, but Izuku just walked in nonchalantly with his eyes mostly closed. He plopped himself onto Katsuki's bed, and he wrapped himself up in the thin blanket. He fell asleep so quickly; Katsuki wasn't even able to ask why he was here. 

     Katsuki smiled softly before closing his door slowly. Usually, Izuku would knock and stutter about his reasons as to why he was here, but Izuku just barged in. It was a good sign for Katsuki. Firstly, Izuku was somewhat getting over his nervousness with him. Secondly, his pride swelled from being Izuku's choice to come to. 

     Katsuki shut off the lights and made his way to the bed where Izuku slept in. 

     He was kicked off less that five minutes later. Katsuki fell off the bed like an idiot, rolling to the ground. He cursed under his breath, and he somehow found himself wishing Izuku didn't have the leg power to kick so harshly. 

     "Deku," Katsuki called, climbing his way back up with his eyes partially lidded with drowsiness. "Come on, I need to sleep on a bed too."

     He didn't receive an answer. Katsuki smirked, if that's how Izuku wanted to do it, he'll gladly follow.

     "What is wrong with you two?" Mina asked, yawning into her food. The class, including Aizawa and Yamada, were on the main area, eating breakfast.

     Katsuki laughed slightly, "You will not believe how hard he can kick for a guy that just was able to walk." As he said this, he rubbed the small of his back where Izuku had kicked the hardest. 

     Izuku rubbed his eyes, "Well, maybe you shouldn't have crushed me with your flabby arms!"

     Mina watched as the two boys went round and round, spitting insults but never meaning them and watching the other feign hurt. 

     "You know you two are still minors, right?" Mina asked with a small smirk, joking. At this, Izuku turned red and let out a small squeak at the implication. Katsuki just turned his head, probably trying to cover his face. 

     "That's not what we were doing!" Katsuki said, nearly shouting it.

     Mina burst out laughing when Katsuki tried to defend himself. 

     Eijiro and Denki came walking over with plates full of whatever they called breakfast. Eijiro managed to bring up the subject Katsuki wanted to change to. 

     "Are you guys going to the festival tonight?" Eijiro asked, sitting himself down next to Izuku. He stuffed his face quickly after with food. 

     Mina nodded happily, "Yes! Aizawa-sensei said we could as long as it was quick."

     All head turned to Katsuki. The group knew Katsuki didn't like participating in these things. He practically never attended any school festivities unless he was forced to. 

     Katsuki gave a small nod, "Yeah, whatever."

     Mina nearly toppled over her chair in excitement. 

     The blonde took a quick glance at Izuku. 

     "You're coming too, right?" he asked, taking Izuku's hand from under the small table. 

     Izuku nodded, his green hair moving from the movement. The smile he gave reached his eyes, showing teeth.
