The New Mask

     A week went by after Chase's and Lincoln's deal they made. Fortunately, Lincoln was nice enough to offer Chase a room in his own building. The entire Adventure Petronas Tower is filled with labs, personal bedrooms and a lot of stuff. It was basically an oversized house with a bunch of different rooms. And the best part for the shepherd was that he didn't have to pay any rent.

But he wasn't the only one with a room. The Ominous Ten also lived inside the tower and once they heard that Chase has joined Lincoln and much less will be staying with them. Needless to say, they were upset. The same pup that brutally defeated them back at Adventure Bay, their long-term enemy, has decided to join their side out of nowhere and Lincoln actually agreed.

But they weren't the only ones surprised, Chase was surprised when Kendra worked for Lincoln which surprised him since they remembered her being a nice and innocent science lady or something along the lines of that. But still, it was a shocking reveal to him.

But if he could use one word to describe his stay here with Lincoln, he would say...peaceful.

Lincoln gave him his space, but also, it was like living in a luxury hotel. Delicious meals, entertainment and a large room. Something that he always wanted as a little pup.

After a week has passed and no assignments, Chase just usually spent his time entertaining himself which wasn't difficult to do as there were many things like a television or even training to get stronger for his assignments. But that day, he was lying on his bed doing nothing until he got a knock at the door.

Using one of the controls on the side, Chase pressed his paw against it which opened the door, making it easier for him to walk through. But on the side, there stood a man in a suit with a Pompadour haircut. For the time he spent here, he hasn't seen someone like him around.

"Can I help you?" He asked.

"Yes, I was wondering where Lincoln's office would be, do you know?" He asked which confused Chase a little but answered his thoughts, confirming that this man was new here which kind of made him curious onto why he wanted to see Lincoln.

Was this someone Lincoln hired to be another super villain? That was Chase's first through, but he didn't argue as he walked through the door, having it close behind him.

"Yeah, follow me." The shepherd gestured and began walking down a hallway with the man following behind.

"I take it that you're new here? Who are you?" Chase began the conversation, a little curious as to who this new man might be.

"I'm Leon, nice to meet you. I'm the CEO of my own company and you're right, it is my first time being here but I've known Krull for a while, I'm just here to see him for something." Leon explained which earned a little eyebrow raise from Chase. But at the same time. It seemed like it wasn't a big deal so he didn't care.

Lincoln Krull's Office

At the top of the tower, Lincoln was doing some paperwork until he heard a ding sound and the elevator door opened, revealing Leon and Chase now walking into his office. Lincoln's eyes slightly winced as he saw Leon with Chase, but placed down his pen as he put both of his hands together.

"Leon, I didn't expect you to arrive." He said in his usual calm manner.

"Yeah, well we've got some things to discuss." Leon responded with his fist gripping and his teeth gritted a little bit which confused Chase a little bit. Seeing the confused shepherd, Lincoln looked towards him.

"Chase, can you give us a minute please?" He politely asked and the pup nodded and walked out. Hearing the elevator going down, Chase decided to use one of the other door exits which opened through other hallways.
