Chapter 21

"What the fuck are you saying?"

Napaayos kaagad ako ng upo sa sinabi ng lalaki. Jack and Niko looked shocked, too. Gio almost spit out his shot when he heard what the guy said. I don't know how to react. Like... what the hell?

Natawa iyong lalaki. "Joke! Masiyado kayong seryosong lahat."

I feel like a whole country was lifted from my shoulder when I heard that. Hindi ko talaga alam ang mararamdaman kung malaman kong nakabuntis si Gio. I mean, I know this is what he is before. His friends are showing his life before. But, I still don't know what to feel. Mabuti na lang at joke lang.

Tumawa si Gio. "I know."

"We?" pang-aasar ng lalaki. "Kabado bente ka nga, eh." he laughed.

Umiling si Gio. "You can't fool me. Now, why?"

"Ewan. Ayan na pala." the man looked at the woman, she looked like a model because of her long legs, and the way she walks, akala mo rumarampa, eh.

"Hi, Gio." bati noong Cheska raw.

"Yes?" Gio asked.

"I came here to see you because I miss you. You were ignoring my texts and calls." she looked at Jack. "No offense, Jack. Happy birthday." her eyes went back to Gio. Lumakad siya papunta sa kabilang side ni Gio at tumabi.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" umurong kaagad si Gio sa side ko. "Cheska, calm down." sabi ni Gio dahil nagsusumkmsik sa tabi niya 'yung Cheska.

"What?" tanong noong Cheska. "We're always like this before, right?"

Gio kept on moving from my side so I had to stood up para makalabas siya sa table. Nakatayo na kami ngayon at nakatingin sa kaniya. "Cheska." Gio sighed. "This is my girlfriend, Natalia."

Tumingin sa akin 'yung Cheska, parang hindi makapaniwala. Hindi ko tuloy alam kung babatiin ko siya o ano.

"Wait. You said... you won't have a girlfriend, right?"

Gio shrugged. "I thought so."

Cheska's lips parted. She stood up like she's ready to attack me. Niyakap kaagad ako ni Gio at inilayo.

"You bitch! What did you to Gio. Ginayuma mo ba siya?!" sigaw noong Cheska sa akin.

Tumayo si Jack at Niko para umawat. Gio is hugging me while looking at Cheska, nilalayo niya ako.

"Cheska, don't make a scene here." Jack seriously said.

"Jack. I think we need to go." Gio said. "Happy birthday, bro." he said before pulling me. Nakatingin 'yung iba sa amin dahil sa pagkakasigaw ni Cheska.

"Are you okay, baby?" malambing na tanong ni Gio habang nakaakbay sa akin, naglalakad na kami palabas ng bar.

I nodded. "Okay lang. Sino ba 'yon?"

Huminto kami sa paglalakad dahil nandito na kami sa tapat ng kotse niya. Pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto bago siya pumasok sa driver's seat.

"Who's that?" I asked again.

Gio looked at me and sighed. "She's nothing."

I scoffed. "First... I thought she was pregnant, next, she's shouting at me as if I did something wrong. Gio, she must be something."

"First of all, she can't be pregnant with me. Nothing happened between us. Next, I don't know why she acted that way. Even before you came, I'm avoiding her because it feels like she's kinda obsessed or something."

I remained quiet.

He held both of my hands and put it on his chin. "Do you believe me, love?"

I sighed. "Until when will I get scared that what if... you got another woman pregnant?"
