Chapter 22

"Would that be all, Ma'am?"

Tumango ako sa waitress nang matapos na niyang sabihin ang order ko. We went to a Spanish Restaurant. Gio and I were both quiet since earlier. Nabibingi na nga ako sa katahamikan. Hindi ko naman kasi alam kung susuyuin ko ba siya o ano.

"Thank you, Ma'am. Thank you, Sir." the waitress bowed a bit after she got our orders.

I was just looking outside while Gio is looking at his phone. Nakasandal siya sa sandalan ng upuan at hawak ang phone sa kanan niyang kamay. His left hand is resting on the table.

I looked at him and sighed. I don't want us to be like this. I know... I know I'm at fault. Binilin na niya sa akin na sabihin sa kaniya pero tinago ko pa rin.

I caressed his hand that is on the table. "Baby..." I called in a soft voice.

He looked at me, he sighed before putting down his phone.

"I'm sorry," I said in a low voice. "I should've told you. I promise, next time, I will tell you. Promise."

He intertwined our hands that are both on the table. "I'm sorry, too."

"Are you still mad?" I asked in a small voice.

Umiling siya. "I'm not mad, I'm just pissed."

Pabiro akong umirap. "Ganoon din 'yon, eh."

He chuckled and held my hand properly. He put it on his lips and kissed it gently. "I'm sorry, too. I love you, okay?"

I nodded. "I love you, too."

I told Gio about Ryan... everything. Sinabi ko sa kaniya na lagi akong hinihintay after ng shift ko. I also told him that Ryan is always insisting that he should bring me home.

"What the fuck is his problem?"

I shrugged. "Wala lang magawa 'yon."

"Huwag lang siyang gagawa ng kalokohan, I swear..." Gio's jaw clenched.

"Huwag kang mag-alala, wala lang talaga 'yon."

"Tell me if he went near you again."

I nodded. "Yes, boss." I chuckled.

I really wanted to surprise Gio since it's also the last day of his finals. I wanted him to relax so I asked Addie if she could help me... nag-suggest siya ng lugar, doon ko na lang dadalhin si Gio.

It was afternoon when we arrived here. Almost 6:00 PM na at tapos na ang klase ni Gio pero sabi niya ay may gagawin pa raw siya.

Addie brought me to a park... like a hidden beautiful park. Walang masyadong tao or wala talagang tao.

"Sure ka bang walang pumupunta rito?" I asked because Addie and I are now fixing the pink christmas lights on the trees who don't have a leaves at all. Saan natatagpuan ni Addie ang ganitong lugar?

"Oo nga! Madaling araw mo dalhin dito para romantic, sure na walang tao rito."

I looked at her. "Saan mo naman nalaman 'to?"

"Madalas lang kami pumunta rito ng mga kaibigan ko... ayan, sindihan mo na 'yung ilaw." she went down on the chair she's standing and pointed the switch.

Bumaba na rin ako sa upuang tinatayuan ko. Lumayo kami ni Addie sa puno para makita namin 'yung kabuuan.

"Wow," I whispered, amused with I am seeing.

"Grabe... ang swerte naman ni Gio." Addie said while looking at the trees with pink lights.

"Sana magustuhan niya."
