Chapter 10

Malia POV:

"What are your plans? Do you believe I misremembered what I said?"

Biglang bumalik ang aking paningin sa may piano banda ng may nagsalita.

It was mom.

"M-mom?"

Bigla ako nitong nilapitan.

"You think nakalimutan ko ang tinext ko sayo kanina?" tanong nito.

"Mom I can explain" then she look at her watch.

"I'll give you twenty seconds to explain. Starts now" she said.

"I texted you yesterday to tell you that I will follow you to the town where you and daddy went. Pero you do not respond to my texts or phone calls. When Jessan and I arrived, the chapel was extremely crowded and we were unable to enter, I can't even call you for there's no signal there. Kaya ginala na lang ako ni Jessan sa lugar nila. And when lunch time comes we couldn't left at the falls we came for it was already raining heavily. Pagkadating namin sa hacienda ng tumila na ang ulan ay wala na kayo. Nang uuwi na sana ako ay hindi ako makauwi dahil wala nang biyahe at halos ang mga driver ng jeep ay lasing na for tito Bongbong give them some ayuda to  celebra-" hindi ko na naipatuloy ang pagsasalita ko when mom raised her hand telling me to stop.

"You believe your dad and I are unconcerned about you? We've been worried about you all night Malia!"

"I know, when I received your texts and calls ni daddy ay madaling araw na. I also came home early kanina dahil ang akala ko ay nandito pa rin kayo pero wala na. I even text and call you pero hindi kayo sumasago-" I answered.

"Because we're busy!"

"Yeah I know mom, pero I'm already here. Nothing bad happened, I'm sorry will not do it again" I muttered.

"Did you received my last text?" she means that I'm grounded.

"Yes, that I'm grounded" giit ko at yumuko.

I didn't expect that mommy will approach and hug me.

I'm sure that this is awkward, yet I just hugged mom back.

"You are not grounded, honey, it's just you caused us so much anxiety last night" she said while caressing my hair.

"Really? I-I mean it's my fault naman kasi mommy. Sana ay hindi na ako roon pumunta kahapon"

"It's fine anak, as long as you don't do it again the next time, okay?"

"Yes, I promise" I said.

"Where's daddy nga pala mom?" dagdag ko.

When the door suddenly opened.

"Hi dad" I said at handa na kung sakaling papagalitan ako.

"Anak!" he said sabay niyakap ako.

"Sorry nga po pala kagabi" I pout.

"It's fine honey, basta huwag mo nang uulitin yun okay?" pareho talaga silang binangggit ni mommy kaya tumango na lang ako.

"Mukhang patulog kana anak ah" sabi ni mommy.

"Yes, I was actually about to sleep ng makaramdam ako ng uhaw kaya bumaba muna ako para uminom then I saw you"

"Sorry if I made you nervous" sambit ni mommy.

"It's okay lang po, talagang nag-aalala lang po kayo"

"O siya sige na matulog kana. Pupunta tayo kila mama mo Imee tomorrow. It's your kuya Matthew's birthday" sabi ni mommy.

"Oh, didin't know that kuya Matthew's birthday is tomorrow na pala. Sige po mauna na po ako goodnight, I love you both" sabay halik ko sa pisngi nilang dalawa.
