Chapter 12

Irene POV:

I'm in the office right now, Greggy and I are meeting to discuss more charity that our company sponsors.

My phone rang unexpectedly in the midst of our meeting.It's ate pala.

"Grace" I called my assistant sa likod ko.

"Yes ma'am?"

"Please focus on the meeting and I'll be answering ate's call lang" I said at lumabas ng conference room.

"Hello ate good morning" I said on the other line.

"Good morning, Irene. May I borrow Lia first? I'll simply take her with me to Dapitan.""

"Ate, perhaps my daughter would be unable to return home later nanaman." I said.

"What do you think of me, being careless? Naturally, I will not allow such to happen to my inaanak noh" sabi nman ni ate.

"Just bring her home mamaya ng maaga ate"

"O siya sige, mabilis lang naman kami. Thank you" ate replied at nagpaalam na.

I returned to the conference room and Grace informed me of what I missed.

Pagkaupo ko, Greggy asked as to whom I spoke with.

"It's ate lang hon, hihiramin lang si Lia. She stated that they were going to Dapitan, but our daughter will return home early naman." giit ko.

"Well mabuti ay si ate mo ang nagpaalam, seems they're very close to each other na hon. Mabuti nga yon na hindi nagluluklok sa bahay si Lia" sabi nito at binalik na ang attensyon sa meeting.

Is Lia and ate are very closed to each other na nga ba? Then why I suddenly feel like bumigat ang pakiramdam ko.

"Ano ka ba Irene, syempre nag iisang babaeng anak at apo si Lia. A lot of people loves her and it's naturally okay" I said to myself at patuloy na lang nakinig sa meeting.

Thirty minutes passed by at natapos na rin kami. Greggy and I just had our lunch and went back to the office afterwards.

I just checked some papers if anything changes, then Luis and Alfonso knocked on the door.

"Hi mom!" they said at tumungo sa akin sabay halik sa pisngi.

"Hello, so how's my boys" I replied.

"We're doing great naman mommy. We just came here because we want to know if how's Lia doing" giit ni Luis.

"She's okay naman mga anak, na miss nga kayo eh"

"Well minsan you can bring her here naman mommy" Alfonso replied.

"Are you certain that one will not become bored? Perhaps it took her only a few seconds to fall asleep here while we were finishing our work"

While Luis is checking his phone he suddenly said something.

"Well look mom oh, they're both ni tita Imee sa Dapitan. What are those two doing there?"

"Oh, you're tita called me earlier. She simply took Lia to Dapitan, as they appeared to have something to buy" I replied.

"It seems that tita Imee, capturing Lia's candid moments" kaagad namang pinakita sa akin ni Luis ang phone nito and a there's a caption "Miss these moments".

"Malia's so pretty every angle talaga" daig pa ni Alfonso.

"She really is" sambit ko naman.

"Looks like they're having a good time ni tita ah" Luis said, and I'm not sure why I suddenly felt envier.
