Chapter 39 - time

Three Years Later

This time it was for us. Our engagement, our wedding day, everything was for us. I'm holding Lexington's hand tightly in mine as we smile at each other. He's wearing his wedding band, and I'm my wedding band as well. We just said our vows, and now, now he's my husband and I can't stop smiling.

We waited on this for years. We spent a year fixing our relationship, a year planning out our future, and a year of learning how to love each other again. I got my degree, and Lex left for his business like he was going to do because we went extremely slow. No sex for a year while being best friends, before we ever really established ourselves again. Now he's got his own company, building houses all over the country, and I'm so proud of him.

We decided to start dating again and slowly got here. We were engaged for a week before taking our vows.

I know, it wasn't long, but I absolutely knew that this time, after planning our wedding for a year, this time was right. Lex wasn't happy about it, but last night I spent every second of the night telling him how ready I was for us this time. I'm not nineteen and learning who I am anymore, I'm twenty-two, and I know that this is right.

I got my winter wedding, at the location I wanted, and it's very small and intimate. Only about fifty people are here for our day and it's perfect. As we're walking back into the doors of the wedding venue from outside, I smile at the photographer with Lexington on my arm.

"We're married babe" I whisper as he smiles down at me and kisses me again. "We're married" he whispers back rubbing my cheek in his hand before lifting me into his arms. My mothers' veil is dragging the ground behind me as I clutch Lexington's arms.

"I'm going to fuck you in every position tonight. Especially in that dress," he whispers as I laugh and nod.

"Babe you might need a codeword because now that you're my husband, I will not stop until your dick is raw." I smile as he laughs kissing all over my neck.

"Pancakes" he whispers as I smile. "Pancakes," I smile back kissing his neck. He carries me into the reception as I hold him tightly and smile at it.

"Oh my gosh, it's beautiful," I whisper as he sits me down and rubs my hips. "Yeah?" he asks as I nod hugging him.

"I'm so glad I didn't do it all this time. I love this, oh my god our cake" I whisper looking at it. It's got a Mr. and Mrs. Lehman on top with the white clean lines and I love it all.

"Come on" Lex insists pulling me away as I smile and hold his hand. "Where are we going?" I ask as he pulls me with him.

"I have a surprise" he whispers as he grabs me away. He carries me into the venue into the groomsmen's room and sits me down as he covers my eyes.

"Ready?" he asks as I nod and hold his hands. I'm at a loss for words when there is a small model of a project. It's a white house with black framed windows and greenery on the outside with brick accents.

"Lex" I whisper as he smiles and holds me in his arms. "Do you like it?" he asks as I nod and contain my tears. "Good, because I started on the construction on the land we bought," he whispers as I smile and grab his face kissing him harshly.

"I love you so damn much," I mutter as he smiles.

"I love you too" he smiles kissing me back as I hear the photographers that are following us everywhere taking our pictures. I'll cherish this moment forever.

The morning after our wedding I wake up so sore from sex. I smile at Lexington's wedding band as I lay on his chest. I can't stop smiling looking at him. I slip out of bed and grab one of his shirts as I rub Tebo's head who is sleeping on his little bed.
