𝐇𝐀𝐘𝐋𝐄𝐘 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝐃𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐊 and gave her a quick tour of the place while leading her to a nearby house. Turns out she was talking to the very alpha of the Crescent Pack, so she wanted to make a good impression. Win her spot to be amongst those who were like her even if she understood nothing.

Somewhere during the tour, Erik had left to help the elders pass out food. He stuck around for as long as he could before his help was needed.

The house they entered was small and the interior was simple but homey. The doors creaked with rust. "The shower is down the hall to the right. I'll go get you some fresh clothes to wear." Hayley pointed.

Deena followed down the hall into the bathroom and cut on the light. It wasn't as big as the bathroom back at her father's place nor back in France but it had all that was needed — a shower.

After a few minutes of sitting along the tub's wall for the water to get hot, there was a soft knock at the door. "It's me, Hayley. Are you decent? Can I come in?" She asked.

Deena sat up from the tub. "Yeah, you can come in. I still have clothes on."

"I totally forgot to give you a towel and rag. There's so much chaos around here since it's just me with Jackson temporarily gone, I tend to be a bit forgetful. Sorry." She handed Deena the folded towel and rag, who offered a smile not knowing who Jackson was.

His name was mentioned somewhere I think.

"I understand. You're doing your best."

Hayley smiled warmly before revealing an oversized plain t-shirt with yoga-like bottoms. And a pair of clean underwear. "Not sure if this will fit but it's better than nothing. Definitely better than that dress. God I hate it." She laughed and Deena joined in. "Alright, well I'll leave you be to freshen up. When you're done, I'd like to have a chat with you. Nothing to be scared about. Just a friendly conversation to know you better."
