Special Chapter 1st day

Reese's POV

My knees are trembling. I am standing in front of many unfamiliar faces. How can this house be so big? How can their dining table be this long?

"Don't worry. He will be a family. I promise." This guy beside me spoke.

I pulled the hem of his shirt. "You didn't tell me," I muttered.

He put his hand on my back and guided me to the table.

I want to go home! Help me, mom! I don't want to eat here 🥺

Aidan is trying to put some food on my plate. I am so shy. Even if I am already familiar with Ms. Candy, the fact that other people are staring at me is making me feel uncomfortable.

"It's okay. Just eat." Aidan patted my head. Am I a puppy?

The breakfast ended with me losing all the color on my face.

His mom walked towards me. The chills that he is giving me...

"Hi, Reese?"

"Hi, yes, Reese."

"Your name sounds so familiar. I just forgot where I heard it first. I really suck at remembering names. How is Aidan as a boyfriend?"

"Huh?" Aidan is not my boyfriend.

"Reese, do you want some ice cream?"
I looked at Sir Kian opening some tub.

My jaw dropped. I want to go home, but this treat is so inviting.

"Go, help yourself." Aidan's mom told me. There is something in his voice that demands to obey all his orders.

I am shy about getting some ice cream. What if they think of me as no shame at all? I don't belong here, but I am thinking of scooping some ice cream. Talk about the drools.

Aidan was looking at me. He then took a bowl-like ice cream glass and filled it, and handed it to me. Good job for realizing it. "Finish that. Let me know if you want more."

It's an order that I would love to obey. I would gladly finish it all. They were all smiling at me as I enjoyed it. Am I weird? Don't they like ice cream?

"Why are you not eating? This is awkward. 🥺" I asked Aidan.

"Give me."

Why would I give him? He can get it himself.

I looked at him quizzically. What does he want me to do?

He held my hand and guided it to scoop ice cream and put it in his mouth. He used my spoon. That's indirect kissing. My heart is beating so fast.

"I never liked ice cream, but it tasted so good today. So sweet."
Is he not embarrassed? Many eyes are focused on us. Why am I trembling?

I felt a warm hand on my shoulder.
"Since you are our Aidan's boyfriend, you can call me Mama Miles." He smiled at me. The kind of smile that is very welcoming. How can I say that I am not Aidan's boyfriend?

"Hi, m-mama..."
What am I doing?
Reese, you are putting yourself in a complicated situation.
You are not Aidan's boyfriend. Why are you calling him mama?

He held my hand and guided me to their fridge. He opened it and tadaaaan... It is full of ice cream and chocolates and sweets. I am drooling.
Why is he showing this to me?
"Just eat anything you want, okay? Feel at home. Aidan never touches this food, so I want you to indulge yourself. You are not on a diet, right?"

"No, sir. I mean, mama."
Reese, you are really crazy!

Aidan was just sitting on the couch talking to Ms. Candy.
