In the Beginning...
The Mirror World

Third Person's POV
The dark skies were hidden by purple clouds, allowing dim rays of moonlight to shine through them. The trees had deep green leaves, and there were cobwebs everywhere. The puddles of water appeared as if they were liquid mirrors. A new world had been created, yet it was rotting.

A few of the creatures in this world actually awoke months ago. But now, a whole world had been created, new creatures began awakening, and the first Reflection has been opened.

There were now many white, purple, black, blue, or green eyed creatures, with multiple eyes or extra limbs, whose gifts are associated with water, snakes, or sounds. This is the typical Marsh.

Creatures with masks shaped like ovals, and some with multiple limbs, whose gifts are associated with spiders, acid, or venom. Typical Araneidans.

Creatures who are never seen nor heard, but hide in plain sight, whose gifts differentiate between stealth/concealment, mimicking sounds and/or voices, and hunting/stalking. Myths known as Hidebehinds.

And creatures of darkness, who appear to be entirely made of shadows, some with multiple eyes or no eyes at all, who communicate through Morse Code. These creatures' gifts can be darkness manipulation, cold presence, or shapeshifting. The typical Shade.

Others can have different powers that have nothing to do with their race. They are rare to come across.

But today awoke a man. A man who already knew who he was.

He was tall, skeletal, and was wearing a neat suit. He had pasty, slate grey skin, and long, sharp fingers. He had black hair with deep blue roots, and had black buttons for eyes. His mouth and nose appeared as if he was half skeleton. He had spider legs poking out of his back, which he was using to stand instead of his other two feet. There was a dark but thin layer of darkness surrounding him, like a shadow if it were an aura. There was a small amount of water looping around his left wrist, appearing as a bracelet. He seemed around 25-years-old at this time. His name was Joplin Ziusudra.

A king, with no morals or rules, only one simple goal: find other creatures in this world powerful enough to fill the roles of the Queen, Prince, Princess, Jack, Knight, Yin, Yang, and Ace. As far as he knows, a Jester is optional or only to be created if needed.

At first, he believed he was the Ace. But forethought told him otherwise. He is nowhere near as strong as the Ace, but he is the King. At least for now.

When he awakened, he already knew what he was supposed to do. He was the first person his Creator imagined, so he must be the one to find the others.

The Ace needs to be someone who can make numerous mistakes, but learn from them all. He or she don't have to be particularly strict or orderly, but must never look down on others. He or she is a protecter of the world itself, working alongside Yin-Yang. Someone who always puts others' needs before their own.

The Queen needs to be just as strong as him (or the strongest female- doesn't particularly have to be stronger or weaker than him), with a kind personality. The Creator imagined her as a saint; a perfect woman who cares about all life and worlds, and sees beauty in everything around her. Someone who wishes for peace in the world.
