The next morning Ransom and Dianna woke up in the way they had both missed for so long. Both of them tangled in one another, from afar you would think they were the one person. Nothing separating the two, they were one. Finally.

Ransom had been awake for the past hour, he decided not to wake her. He was enjoying just watching her, she was so peaceful, so beautiful. She finally began to stir, ransom smiling softly beginning to run his fingers up and down her naked back. She turned her head, smiling brightly at him. "Morning" She yawned

"Morning sweetheart" he leaned down, placing a soft gentle kiss on her lips

"Last night was...fun" she chuckled

"Extremely fun" he chuckled

She smiled brightly, moving around so she was straddling him. Ransom chuckled, staring at the hickeys all over her body. "What are you doing tonight?" He asked

She thought for a second before replying "nothing I can't get out of" she chuckled

"Oh really?" He smirked slightly

"Yes, really" she mocked

"My naughty girl" he smirked

Like always there was something to interrupt them, this time it was her phone. She sighed grabbing it. "Shit. It's William"

Ransom sighed, leaning against the headboard as she answered the call.

"William, hi I-"

"Where are you?"

"I'm at a...a friends"

Ransom raised his eyebrows, chuckling slightly at the mention of friend

"Get home, now." He spat down the phone

"I'll be home later I just-"

"Now Dianna." He spat again hanging up the call

She sighed putting her phone back down. "I gotta go, I'll try and come back tonight" she got off the bed, starting to pick up her clothes off the floor

"Just stay, please" he sighed

"Ransom, you know I can't" she pulled her clothes on

He rolled his eyes, she quickly placed a kiss on his cheek "I'll make it up to you"

"I'll hold you to that" he smirked

"Bye ransom" she smiled walking towards the door

"Bye sweetheart" he watched as she opened the door leaving the apartment

Ransom had decided to go see Sarah, he wanted to see how she was doing. He also wanted to tell her about Dianna, day by day he was seeing her. The real her. Not the Dianna Sarah had gotten used to.

"Hey Sarah" he smiled walking into her room, a bag of food in hand

"Hi ransom, what you got there?" She smiled, sitting up slightly

"Well last time I was here I saw how bad the food looked so I thought you would appreciate some good food. I remember Dianna telling me you like Italian, so here we go" he smiled, walking towards the bed taking a seat

Sarah chuckled "you really are special aren't you?"

"What can I say" he laughed, pulling the food out of the bag

"That smells amazing" she gasped opening the box of food

He chuckled, the two of them beginning to eat. "I've got some good news for you" he spoke, throwing a piece of pasta in his mouth

"Good news? Really?" She asked, she hadn't heard good news in ages

He nodded "I've been spending the past couple of days with Dianna, she was annoyed at first. Distant. But now she's different, when I look at her it's like I'm looking at the old Dianna"

She smiled brightly "she called me this morning, she sounded happy. She wouldn't stop talking about you"

Ransom laughed awkwardly, not sure what to say

"Look at you getting all awkward!" She laughed

He laughed shaking his head

"Do you think she'll break up with William?" Sarah asked

He sighed "I hope so, but she has to do what makes her happy. I don't want to force her into anything"

Sarah nodded "i know, I know. It would be a lot easier if you were the one she was engaged to"

"If only she had stayed a week longer" he sighed

"What?" Sarah asked, her voice laced with confusion

"Oh, oh nothing" he shook his head, desperately wanting to change the discussion

"You were going to propose to her weren't you?" She knew, she knew from the very second he said it

He nodded slowly, closing his box of pasta

"Why didn't you?"

"Things went bad, she left. It was too late" he shrugged

"Why did things go bad? You two were so happy, di would never tell me. She never wanted to talk"

Ransom had to be careful, he wasn't going to drag someone else into the mess that was 4 years ago "I was jealous, I went too far"

"I always used to tell Dianna that if two people really love each other sometimes they need time apart, they need time to really decide what they want. So when they do come back together they're stronger for it, their love is stronger" she smiled taking his hand

He smiled softly at her. Sarah was certainly a wise women, so wise. Ransom admired her, even when she was ill, even when she was on deaths door the most important thing on her mind was other people. Not herself but others.
