Chapter one

"Taehyung why are you giving this to me?"

The said boy frowned but managed to regain his almost fake smile soon after and sighed. His legs became more heavy, now he regrets to decline when the old man told him to sit but he insisted to make it quick with a 'it's fine'.

"Aren't you, Mr. Jeon, the one who arranged this marriage?" he asked as calmly as he could, but inside he was being impatient and nervous.

He doesn't know why tho, he's just here to claim his rights

"Yes." the old man put down his glasses that he needed to put on to read the paper with a big "DIVORCE CERTIFICATE" on top that Taehyung handed him with no greetings earlier

"But the contract isn't over yet Taehyung"

Taehyung posed for a minute to catch his breath, he was feeling hot suddenly

He wanted to yell at this old man infront of him but that will be disrepectful to yell at your "father-in-low" so he took a deep breath again, he played with his fingers for a while before looking up, no longer trying to fake a smile or whatever

"Mr. Jeon, we both know that i only accepted to marry your son because you were a good friend of dad"

Pause.

His heart ached a bit when he mentionned his beloved father, he closed his eyes. It's not the right time for him to let his emotions took over him, he has more important thing to do, and that is to end this called contract

"It's been one year, and your company is doing well after you merge with my brother so i think i have the right to end this now" he sighed at the end, he has always find it difficult to express what's on his mind but he had to do this and in the most polite way as possible

"Why Taehyung?" the boy looked at Mr. Jeon like he didn't hear him well.

Is this old man dumb? Of course he wanted to end this marriage because it will lead him nowhere. He has always dreamt to find someone that will love him with all his heart like nothing else mattered. But here he is, his husband's father starting to get on his nerve because of this stupid marriage that he never wanted to agree on

"As we all can see Mr. Jeon, this marriage is just a cover. I don't love your son and he doesn't love me either so where's the point? You still can marry him with someone else you want to collaborate with and-"

"Taehyung, i can understand that you want to have your own life and of course you have to right to ask the divorce if you don't want to be married to a stranger anymore"

Taehyung started to feel relived at the old man's words, he hoped in the next minutes Mr. Jeon will tell him that he will talk to his son and sign the paper and it's all over but he didn't excepted what he heard next-

"But can't we try to make it work?" Mr. Jeon said as calm as ever like he didn't just put Taehyung in the edge of cursing and telling him and his stupid son to fuck off

"Mr. Jeon, i don't want to do this anymore, can we just-"

"My son is actually coming back to Korea this week. For good"

Taehyung didn't know what's wrong with him. He scolded his heart to beat excitedly. Wait, why was he excited to finally meet his supposed to be husband? They were 'married' and he ever seen the other once in his life. When they signed the paper, his husband was at the Unites States till now.

And he's coming back? Taehyung thought for a while and sighed, maybe it will be good, that he can ask the divorce directly to the other and all of this shit will be over
