Jungkook was alone in the kitchen in the early hours of the morning preparing his breakfast for the day ahead. He was in the process of making himself a cup of coffee when Narae shuffled into the kitchen clad in an oversized hoodie, patterned pyjama trousers and bunny slippers, rubbing her eyes whilst yawning.

"Morning Narae-yah." He called out softly, not wanting to startle her.

"Oh, good morning Jungkook-ah" She replied groggily, making her way over to the counter.

"You look tired, how come you're up so early?" Jungkook asked her as she came to stand beside him. Narae's eyes still weren't opened fully and her mind didn't really seem to be all there as he spoke to her. She was clearly not a morning person.

"I stupidly stayed up reading a new book and now I have to be up early to get started on my hair and make-up before the shoot for today." Narae mumbled. Jungkook only caught bits and pieces of what she was saying. He didn't think she realized she was speaking in English to him, she was so out of it.

Narae started pulling out a spoon, mug and oat milk for her coffee; the coffee beans were already out on the counter. As she began to prepare her coffee, Jungkook watched her movements, hastily lunging forward when he realised she was about to put salt in her mug instead of sugar.

He took the spoon and mug from her hands and gently nudged her out of the way with his hip, certain that she shouldn't be handling boiling hot water in her current condition, "Go sit down, I'll make it for you."

"Okay." Narae obliged with no struggle, shuffling over to the dining area and plopping herself down in one of the chairs, resting her head on her arms.

"Do you want a lot of sugar?"

"Mmhmm."

Jungkook made her coffee with her preferred choice of oat milk, and placed it in front of her when he was finished, before making his way to the other end of the table to drink his own beverage. She lifted her head up and clasped her hands around the mug to retain some of its warmth.

"Careful, it's still hot." Jungkook watched her to make sure she didn't burn herself.

Narae nodded and puffed her cheeks as blew on the drink softly, making Jungkook smile at how adorable she looked. She managed to take a few sips, placing the mug down when a familiar ringtone cut through the comfortable silence.

Narae pulled out her phone from the depths of her hoodie pockets and squinted at the name on the screen.

"It's my mum calling, I have to take this." She slipped the phone back in her pocket and stood up clutching the mug in her left hand. As she walked past Jungkook she lightly squeezed his shoulder, "I'll see you later on set. Thanks for the coffee Koo."

The nickname easily rolled off her tongue, making it sound natural coming from her lips. Jungkook was sure that had she not been half-asleep, she would have never have called him that, but he didn't want to question it too much, liking the way it sounded coming from her.

He watched as she left the kitchen, her movements slightly less sleepy as the caffeine started to kick in.

"Anytime, Narae-yah." He said to her retreating figure.

Hours later, Narae was on set for Butter, energized and more than ready to shoot. She had managed to catch some shut-eye whilst the stylist was installing her wig and she had been given another coffee once she had finished.
