Jungkook had spent the day playing video-games, working out, cleaning – basically trying to find anything to keep his mind off the brown-skinned beauty that occupied his every waking thought. He'd been avoiding Narae a bit since their little mishap in the practice room. It wasn't enough so that it was noticeable, but he just threw himself into work a bit more and left little time for other interactions.

He was grateful when he'd heard her departure for her brunch and finally slithered into the living room to join the rest of the boys who gathered there. However, after a few hours had passed, they had all departed one-by-one, either to their rooms or elsewhere outside to do their own thing.

He was in the middle of a random TV show when he heard the incessant ringing of the doorbell. He figured it could only be one person who would have forgotten their keys. He ambled over, calling out as he unlocked the door, "Narae-yah, you know we can hear it the first tim—Eunwoo?" He was more than surprised when he opened the door to see his long-time friend holding Narae by the waist. Oh God, please tell me this is not what I think it is.

"Jungkook?" Eunwoo was just as surprised. Immediately getting over his shock, he held out his hand for a bro shake, grinning widely as their hands clasped together. "Don't know why I didn't realise this was your place!"

Jungkook was still confused. "Eunwoo, what are you doing here? With Narae?"

Eunwoo let out a laugh and jerked his head back in the direction of his car where Sol sat nose pressed to the window, "My girlfriend and her went out and got drunk, so I'm just making sure she's getting back safely."

At the mention of a girlfriend, Jungkook visibly relaxed. It was then he noticed as well that Eunwoo's hand wasn't actually on Narae's waist, but hovering near it instead. "Your girlfriend? Wait – Solar's the one you've been talking about in the groupchat?"

"I'm surprised you even know that much – you barely even check it." He chuckled before relaxing his features into a fond smile.  "But yeah, she's the one. We've been going out for a few months now and it's going great. She's a handful and a half but I wouldn't have it any other way."

"Glad to hear that man." Jungkook said, genuinely smiling at the look on his friend's face. He never would have guessed that the woman who had caught his friend's interest would be Nare's former bandmate and best friend, but it was a small world, and an even smaller industry.

A notification had Eunwoo checking his phone, his eyebrows shooting up and cheeks burning as he read the message, eyes darting to his car again as he licked his lips, "I-uh, need to go. I'll text you later, we should set up something soon with the others! Nice to meet you Narae-ssi!"

With that, Cha Eunwoo was off like someone had lit a fire under his ass, leaving no time for even a quick goodbye. Jungkook was left with Narae who was swaying slightly on her feet, a smile growing on her face the more she looked at him.

All he heard was a cry of "Jungkookie!" before she launched herself at him, wrapping her arms around his waist in a tight embrace. She hadn't wanted to interrupt their conversation but now Eunwoo was gone, she was free to express her joy at seeing him. Jungkook stumbled slightly from the impact, remembering that Eunwoo had mentioned that she was drunk and this was not normal everyday Narae who was excited to see him. That didn't stop the butterflies in his stomach from fluttering though.

"Easy tiger," Jungkook carefully manoeuvred them so they were inside the threshold of the dorm and shut the door behind them, Narae still with her arms wrapped around his middle. He forgot that he was all mixed up and supposedly avoiding her and smiled down at her instead, "How was brunch?"
