Today was my first day back at work since the incident. Since then, William hasn't spoken much about it but he's been much more protective over the kids. None of them have been to Freddy's since, and he's been watching over Chris nonstop. I wanted to call out his hovering, but I was still afraid of the man. He had confessed a murder to me. A part of me is never going to forget that, yet somehow I forgave him. I am still disgusted with myself, but I've been distracting myself over the past few days to forget about the confession.

On the bright side my car was finally running again. I was grateful I wouldn't be stuck in a car with William anymore. Especially since he told me about Charlie. I've been having frequent nightmares about the child since that day, but I refuse to tell William. I feared it would activate those urges he talked about so I kept my mouth shut. Better to suffer in silence anyway...

I arrived at Freddy's at around 8 AM. Henry said he wanted to speak to me before I did my daily tasks, so as told, I walked over to Henry's office. When I walked in, I saw William sitting on a chair next to the one I was supposed to sit in. I stood at the doorway, questioning if I were able to make a run for it or not, but sadly Henry noticed my presence and gestured me to go in.

I hadn't spoken much to William since he's told me. I've been avoiding him. He made me fear for my life, but he also made me feel other things. I somehow felt safer in his presence, and I couldn't help but sympathize for the man. I also had grown a liking towards William and I was unsure if that was as friends or as something more. Pushing away the thoughts I slowly approached the seat next to William and sat down. I felt Williams eyes gazing at me the whole time.

"Ah, welcome back Y/N! How are you feeling?" I sighed in relief, recognizing that the voice speaking to me was Henry and not William.

"Much better. What did you want to see me for?"

"Oh, right. We have a new employee and I would like for you to show him around. He's coming in at 9." As Henry spoke I couldn't help but notice William glaring at him. I didn't really understand why, but I knew it had something to do with the fact he didn't want me interacting with other employees. I had never really figured out the reason to that, but I was too afraid to ask.

"Okay. What's his name?" I asked, trying to take my eyes off William.

"Jeremy. He's a nice man, and I think you'll like him! He's a guard so I just need you to give him a tour and the rules." I nodded my head in agreement. I still didn't fully understand why William was here with us, but as if Henry could read my mind, he finally mentioned Afton.

"William and I were just going over plans for a sister location. Jeremy should be here soon if you want to prepare yourself." I took that as my que to leave and headed for the door. I noticed William still hadn't taken his eyes off of me, and I shivered at the observation. I took a deep breath and headed for the locker rooms to change.

As I walked out with my grape uniform I felt a pair of arms touch my shoulder. I gasped, recognizing the large hands consuming my figure.

"You've been avoiding me, love." I quickly twirled around and saw William with a serious look on his face.

"Aren't you supposed to be with Henry?" I asked, trying to change the topic.

"We finished early. Are you going to say anything for yourself?" Shit. The topic was unavoidable. I would just have to stall until Jeremy gets here. Which hopefully is soon.

"I haven't been avoiding you." I mumbled. William finally let go of my shoulders and chuckled.

"Oh, really? Every time I see you, you go the other direction. Missed calls, no replies to texts, I haven't talked to you since that day." My hopes of Jeremy saving me vanished, I realized I would just have to talk this through with William, who did not look happy in the slightest.

"I'm sorry. I just need time to adjust. It's a lot to take in, William." As I expected William to push further, he backed away from me. Seeming pleased with himself and my response it was almost as if he were going to leave me alone.

"I understand. I just needed to know you were alright." I was shocked at the maturity William was showing. No pet names, no jokes, he was serious. I was relieved the tension was gone and he understood. I really didn't want him to push any farther.

William started walking away, but I felt as if I wasn't finished with him yet. I was too grateful for his respect of boundaries that I decided to call him back over towards me.

"William?" He turned back around and looked at me with a brow raised.

"Yes, darling?"

"Is Chris up for visitors?" I scrambled trying to find an excuse to invite myself over.

"I think he would love that." William answered cheerfully, holding a grin on his face.

"See you tonight?"

"I wouldn't miss it for the world, love." William winked at me before turning around and walking away.

What did I just get myself into?
