Summary Asmodeus and his Partner reunite after being away for several months

3 months.
Asmodeus had not seen his beloved partner in 3, long, lonely, months. Of course, they had kept in contact, and called and texted nearly every day. But not even thousands of "I miss you's" and "I love you's" could fill the emptiness in Asmo's bed where he used to lay, or distract him the coldness of his phone when they had to hang up. Asmodeus missed being in his arms. He missed his kisses, he missed the way he humored him and laughed at his bad jokes, he missed the comfort of his prescience; and reminiscing on it all only made the distance between them feel greater.
So when Barbatos and Diavolo informed the House of Lamentation that MC was returning to the Devildom, Asmo immediately put a nice outfit on, and waited by the door for him. He didn't worry about looking perfect, because he knew his partner would always see him in a beautiful light. He didn't mind the waiting either, because he knew his weeks of pining would finally be worth it, and he would be the first to welcome him back.
Asmodeus jumped up the moment the door turned and cracked open, happiness flooding every part of him. "Welcome back, ____!"
"Asmo!" A smile bloomed on MC's face, and laughter rose from his chest.
They rushed towards each other, holding one another as closely as they could. Asmo felt pleasantly smooshed against MC's chest, and it delighted him. It delighted him so much that he started to cry, overwhelmed to suddenly have all his longings and desires fulfilled. He hugged MC back with equal strength, unwilling to let go after having been apart for so long.
They swayed side to side in each other's arms, trying to convey the love, and the sadness, and the many tender emotions between them since they'd last been together.
Asmo weakly repeated his partner's name, unable to say anything else as he teared up.
"Asmo, Asmo, shh, it's ok. I love you." He whispered back, gently helping him wipe his eyes.
Asmo buried his face in his shoulder, letting himself be cradled, then led to the couch to relax. A hand lightly stroked through his hair and brought him comfort.
He lifted his head and stared at MC. He had been softly smiling at him, and he felt compelled to grin back. He rubbed the last bits of tears in his eyes away.
"I love you, _____."
"I love you too, Asmo." His hand rested on Asmodeus's cheek.
Asmo drew his hand up to touch his face in return. He traced the curve of his brow bone, and touched the bridge of his nose, and felt the line of his jaw down to his chin. "You're so perfect," he uttered. "I missed seeing your face in person."
MC kissed his fingers. "And you're the most precious and thoughtful partner in the world. It's been difficult without you."
Asmo placed a hand on his lover's shoulder to pull himself upright. "Can I kiss you?"
"Please," he softly implored.
Asmo slowly leaned in and pressed his lips to his.
He kissed him like the gentle burning light touches the horizon in a sunset.
He kissed him like an ocean wave brushing against sand on cool nights when all else is quiet.
The two kissed softly and fervently because it was as right and perfect and beautiful as every other natural occurrence in the world.
They pressed their foreheads together when they parted. MC could feel Asmo's soft eyelashes on his face.
"I missed you too," Asmo said. "It feels so cold when I try to sleep alone anymore."
He brought his hands to the sides of Asmo's face "Next time, I'll take you with me."
"You will?"
"I will," he earnestly said. "I promise."
