A/N- MC takes Lucifer to the Devildom version of build a bear workshop.

"This is not exactly... what I had in mind... when you said surprise date," Lucifer slowly commented.

"That means I surprised you!!" Y/N cheered. "I didn't even know they had cute things like this in the Devildom!!"

But you're here, he silently remarked. Lucifer glanced around to find a variety of monster bears, along with violent tattered weaponry and accessories for them. A particular green zombie bear with an exposed ribcage holding heavy artillery caught his eye. "You have an interesting standard of cute."

"They are cute!" Y/N protested. "Come on, I'll make you one and you make me one." He reflexively gave them a sideways glance. Me? Lucifer? Make a teddy bear? Y/N stared at him with excitement, wearing a playfully smug grin as though to challenge his pride.

He would have declined, but those starry eyes were his greatest weakness.

"If I must," he sighed.

"Well, you must!" They laughed. "Anyway, I'm going to get started." He wasn't particularly thrilled to be seen in public at a teddy bear store, but Y/N's enthusiasm made it worthwhile.

He let out a long exhale and made his way to the wall of bears. What would they like? Now that he had been roped into this, he might as well design the best teddy bear this world has ever witnessed. His instinctive choice was to pick a bear of their favorite color... then there were the silly little accessories...

This is fun.

He refused to admit that out loud.

Nearly complete, Lucifer made his way to the register but halted when he saw the last step of making the bear. "Enchantment Station," the sign read. The short demon employee idly standing at the station glanced at Lucifer with fearful reverence, surely aware of who he was... but then their gaze drifted to the teddy bear in his hands. They did a double-take, quickly looking between the bear and Lucifer, then cleared their throat. "Erm, would you like to enchant that, sir?"

"Thank you, I can do that myself." He curtly waved them off. He contemplatively gazed at the bear, thinking of all the curses and hexes and enchantments he knew. He quickly came to realize that he specialized in sadistic curses and hexes. He couldn't curse the teddy bear that he would bestow to Y/N! Damn it. "Ah, actually, allow me to see the selection of spells and enchanted ingredients you have."

"Right this way!"

Lucifer surveyed the options, halting at the notice of a faintly glowing jewel heart. He gently plucked it into his hands, noticing it was warm to touch.

"That's an enchanted heart you can sew inside the bear," the worker explained. "It'll bring comfort to the person who holds it."

Perfect.

Lucifer made his purchase, keeping the bear in the house-like box provided by the store. Once he made his was back to Y/N, he noticed they were busy in the weapons section.

"Hmm... this is missing something," they contemplatively mumbled, similarly to how he did when picking enchantments. He watched as they carefully picked out a teddybear-sized pink chainsaw.

He sneaked a peek at the black bear in their hands and saw that it had red eyes and a long red coat. Is that...?

They spun around and held the bear out. "Ta-daa! Meet Lucibear."

He humored them, taking a glance at his teddybear counterpart. "Hello Lucibear." The shock on their face was perfect, and their laughter warmed his heart. He carefully took the bear in his free hand, avoiding stabbing himself with the weapon it held. "What made you chose a pink chainsaw for him?"

"It matches your personality," they giggled. He wasn't exactly sure how that statement reflected upon his personality or how Y/N saw him. When he looked back, he noticed they were politely trying not to stare too much at the box he held.

He faintly smiled, holding it out to them. "Here, take it. I made it for you, after all."

They tenderly took the box from his hand, opening it with anticipation. They unveiled the bear, their favorite color reflecting off their eyes. Lucifer took pride in knowing what hue they favored, as well as the intricate bear outfit he picked out. He awaited their response, but they quietly knit their eyebrows in confusion and tightened their grasp on the bear.

"It's... warm?" They hugged it and closed their eyes, standing still.

They're just standing there hugging the bear. The one I made. For them. My god. Oh my lord. Father have mercy on me. This human is going to give me cardiac arrest. I'm going to die right now and face the consequences of my sins. "Yes... I enchanted it. To be comforting."

"Show off!" they shot back, a silly grin plastered on their face. "I love it."

They love it. "I'm glad. I like the one you made too." Although it was a teddy bear, they had made this little monstrosity for him. It was special.

They tucked their bear back in its cozy house-box. "Lucifer," The gentle way they spoke his name could've brought him to his knees. "Thank you for coming. And for the bear."

That was hardly something they had to thank him for. They could have asked him to fit the ocean in a glass, to stop time, to become an angel again... Or to build a monster bear.

He earnestly grinned back. "It's my pleasure, Y/N."
