"Sasuke. I'm at point B."

"Sakura. I'm at point C."

There was a moment of silence.

"Naruto. I'm at point A! Believe it!"

"You're slow, Naruto!" Kakashi said from the other end of the earpiece, "Y/n? Are you in position?"

"Y/n! I'm at point...pffft, DEEZ NUTZ-!"

There was a defeated sigh from Kakashi before he continued, "Okay, Team 7. The target had moved! Follow it!"

There was rustling in the trees as a shadowy figures leapt from a branch and into the bushes in a flash.

The four Genin peeked out from their hiding spots, peering at the spot where their target had disappeared.

"Over there!" y/n said in a hushed voice.

They moved quickly, hiding by trees to avoid being spotted by their mystery target.

"What's your distance from the target?"

"Five meters away." Naruto replied in a serious tone, "I'm ready! Just give the signal."

"I'm ready too." Sasuke said quietly.

"So am I." Sakura confirmed.

A small hum from y/n was her reply.

"Okay..." Kakashi paused, "Now!"

In an instant, all of Team 7 lunged from their spots and charged for their target. That target being... a cat.

"I GOT EM, I GOT EM!" Naruto exclaimed as he grabbed the screeching cat, holding onto it tight even as it clawed at his face furiously, "OW, AGH, STOP!!!"

"Did you see a ribbon on its right ear?"

"Found it, we've got a positive ID." Sasuke replied.

"Right. Lost pet 'Tora' has been captured." Kakashi said from where he stood.

"CAN'T WE GET A BETTER MISSION THAN THIS?!' Naruto demanded from the other end, "I HATE CATS!!!!"

"Here kitty, kitty, kitty~!" y/n's voice came next followed by a terrified screech from poor little Tora.

Some time later, they returned the cat to its owner who hugged it lovingly. The cat didn't seem to appreciate the love.

"Ohh, my poor little Tora! I'm so glad you're okay!" the woman cooed while the cat frantically tried to escape her grasp reaching out for y/n who gave it an apologetic smile, "I was worried about you, naughty wittle fuzzy cakes!"

"Poor cat..." y/n murmured.

"Stupid cat! Serves it right!" Naruto cackled.

"No wonder he ran away and clung to y/n so desperately when we got here." Sakura murmured.

They went to receive their next mission from the Hokage and listened attentively as he listed the options.
