☆Miracle's: POV☆

As the rays of light peeked through the cracks of the velvet curtains my eyes opened to find an unfamiliar room.

I suddenly got out of the bed I was in. In a panic I quickly scrambled to get out of it and as my body made contact with the wooden floors I remembered. 'Oh yeah I made a deal with Mr.Casino owner and now serve as an additional hitman for his dumb little scheme.'

I got up and brushed myself off, I walked over to the piles of clothes that I had left on a chair and got out my uniform. Long black sleeved shirt, yellow tie, light brown pants and black shoes to match the shirt.

I took a shower, got changed, brushed my teeth and hair, washed my face and finally exited with the room key in hand.

I locked the door and went downstairs to see Jaza at the bar wiping glasses, and delicious plates of food sitting on the counter.

My mouth watered at the sight, I started walking towards the food which produced a delicious scent.

Jaza looked up once they had heard my footsteps approaching. Then looked back down when they saw it was me.

I proceeded to sit down on a chair awkwardly staring at them thinking of something, anything! To say, but they beat me to it.

"Good morning."

"Ah! I- uh, good morning." I reply back awkwardly, slightly taken aback when they were the ones to engage in conversation.

"How was your first night?"

"Good, well good in terms of sleep, the rest was pretty eventful..." I quiet down at the last part of my sentence, Jaza simply nods.

They push a plate of food towards me.

"You should eat, you never know what crazy task Chip might have us do today or if you're lucky we'll just be running the casino normally."

"I'm hoping for option two." My face is slightly distorted at the idea of having to kill someone.

"Well beggars can't be choosers." They reply calmly, now putting away the glasses.

"Well I wish I could choose that way I could always do normal casino tasks!"

"..."

"What would a normal casino task be?" I think aloud, Jaza slightly chuckles at this.

"Might work with me at the bar, work a reception with Chubby-" I tense at the mention of her name.

"Keep the guests entertained with Sash or you'll most likely serve drinks and snacks with Rainbow." Silence falls once again, now neither of us know what to do next.

"Hey Jaza?" They hum in response

"Do you hate me?" I ask looking at my now half eaten plate of food, pieces of scrambled eggs, bacon and half eaten toast scattered around.

"Hate? That's quite a strong word, it's more that I don't understand your decision."

"Huh?"

"Why did you think you could do such a thing and get away with it, with zero repercussions?" Jaza states shaping their hand into an o shape to symbolise a zero, I go quiet trying to find the best way to form my sentence.

"Because I got away with it before." Is all I say, Jaza stares back, eyes staring at me and scanning my face as if there was another answer.

They finally let out a sigh, looking down.

"You know there's a reason that we're classified as the best casino-"

"Because you eliminate your competition?" I say practically spitting out the words. Jaza looks back up at me, a shadow casting over half of their face, I was intimidated by this to say the least. 'Maybe interrupting them and making a remark wasn't the best idea.'
