☆Miracle's: POV☆
I casually walked down the hallway, crossing guests every once in a while who looked at me weirdly. I started to subconsciously move my hands and arms to cover my horns and ears, but couldn't hide my tail though. I took a turn to the left, then to the right then moved right again. The longer I walked and turned the more I felt confused. 'Where the hell is the main room?!' Every turn I took made me feel more lost than the last.
So I opted to sit in a corner out of frustration to try and regain some energy. 'This place is a fricken maze.' "Who the hell hires someone and then doesn't tell them the way around the workplace?!" I throw my arms up in the air and scream to no one in particular. I let out a long and frustrated sigh before getting back up on my feet and trying to find my way to the centre area again.
My situation was not getting any better, I started to contemplate just curling up in a corner and crying for an hour. Though if one of them caught me in such a state I think I would just die of embarrassment, I don't need them to think I'm so vulnerable to the point that getting lost like a six year old child would break me. So I just kept moving forward staring directly in front of me. I puffed out my chest slightly and tried to walk with confidence to make it seem that I actually knew where I was going and no one was going to stop me.
♢Jaza's: POV♢
I was strolling down the hallway with Amara by my side and my face tinted with a permanent red as Miracle's stupid voice fills my head. I wanted to scream and rip my face off clean and the more I thought about it the more my face heated up.
"za-" I heard something faint in the background, I ignored it.
'aza-?" I heard something again a bit louder and clearer but my mind was still too busy racing to pay it any attention.
"Jaza!" Amara's loud and yet still somehow soft voice broke me free from the chains of my mind.
"H-Huh?"
"Are you alright you had this blank stare and your face is really red." She asked with worry lingering in her voice, I felt my heart skip a beat at this. Only for my face to become an even darker shade of red.
"J-Jaza?! Do you have a fever?" She grabs me by my forearm, pulling me closer to her, pressing her other hand against my forehead. Thank gods that my face was already at its darker shade of red otherwise I think it would have increased again. 'Dammit, why does she have to be so cute all the time?' I whine, cursing myself for being such a flustered mess.
She lets out a soft sigh of relief and smiles gently, gods I loved that smile.
"You don't appear to be sick."
"A-ah well... You know me it would take a lot for me to end up sick!" I puff out my chest slightly and put a fist to it, a cocky smile settling neatly on my face.
She just giggles at my antics and gives me a small nod.
We keep making our way down the corridor and towards the main area. The silence was starting to kill me. I needed to say something, anything well, mostly anything.
"Do you want a drink?" I blurted out not thinking about the words that have just escaped my lips.
"A drink?"
"Y-yeah i'll make it for you, it's been quite a warm day."
"Warm? Isn't it nearing winter?"
I stare blankly for a few seconds thinking desperately about how I was going to catch myself from this incredibly large mistake. Thanks brain, always looking out for me and never processing information, luckily I don't drink anymore otherwise I would have probably said something even dumber.
