With the receptionist walks a man roughly of 5"11, pale blue eyes, eyes that could reflect your own soul like ice if given the chance, brown graying hair kept tightly behind his ears, eyes worn from exhaustion of pouring over book after book in the field of supernatural studies. This man looked as if his days had come and gone, days long past. Scared and clingy as he kept to himself. Glancing at me roughly he grunts in my stance of welcome. "Hi, you must be Mr. James, It's a pleasure to finally meet you. In person that is." I see the look cross his face. He's confused. He will most definitely have questions. And by the look on his face they're coming. "Whatever do you mean?" he asked graciously. "Well this of course." I stated slowly pulling the journal out from my side bag. I see the shock flood his face, emotions racing, face pleading, he doesn't want to see this thing in my hands. But why? I mock his face of horror "have i found something I'm not supposed to?" I ask rushedly. "No. No. of course not it's a mere journal afterall." he states as if the look of shock and horror never once crossed his face today. "Why don't you follow me to my office to discuss this further in a more comfortable setting." he throws out with a pleading look at me. "Sure thing Mr. James." I rushed following him down the hallway to the left and up to the third floor of his office. How many floors does one need in an office? It doesn't matter, what does is this journal detailing things I know to be true. "This is all true. I know this as I am a heretic of which you speak so fondly.'' I admit right off the bat. I see him glance me over contemplating what to tell me and what not to. "Yes it's all true." he states what just came out of my mouth. "Of course it's true. But what you're missing is why do you exist?" because we are a superior being duh. I think sassily. "I suppose everything has a reason for existing but you, you are one in a million, different from the rest. I suppose you had no idea what you were until you read my journal, presumably so, you are here after all." my heart races. He just nailed it all to a tee. This thought scares me a little. I shouldn't be scared, I don't feel anything else, why would I feel scared? Maybe it's something like self preservation, I think cheerfully. "I presume you're looking for Lewis?" he asks more of a statement than a question. "Obviously." I let the tone of my boredom linger. He cuts right to the point "I knew the man you seek once, he was evil, vile if you will. Then that all changed when he met this young woman by the name of Kathrine Dubois, she was kind and warm hearted. I think in that moment he felt love for her. She threw herself in front of his latest victim like it was as easy as tying one's shoe. It brightened some buried side of him I once thought lost forever, together they had a child. It's almost impossible to imagine since he's a vampire and all, but he is part witch. That's the side that met with her werewitch traits. In between making a baby. One of four different breeds, human side at nature, witch or siphoner taking after her father, werewolf, and he passed traits of vampire healing and others along to her. I've long since seen him. But he is alive. That's all I know of the man I used to call my best friend." he says with an aching heart. I long to reach out and console this aching man in front of my eyes, but I know that if I do this will undoubtedly let all of my pain back in. I won't let that happen! Ever again. I don't want to feel that pain, it hurts too much for anyone to take on. I thank him rushing out of the building in hopes of finding my sister and packing up for more clues. Reaching the edge of town I find her sitting with a small girl maybe a year or two younger than myself. She's pretty but I don't want to jump the gun, especially after what happened with Riley. "Sister, who is this?" I ask cautiously. "This is-' she's cut off by the now glowing young woman standing before my eyes, "Shylo. I'm Shylo, a werewitch of sorts if you will." hmm of sorts what does that mean? It doesn't matter I've no time to dawdle "We're off again Natalie. Come along." I sputter. "Actually sister I was wondering if we could let Shylo join us, she's a runaway supernatural looking for an adventure." this seemed to enrage me, I haven't the slightest idea why but when I looked this young woman over she lights something up inside of me. Her long brown hair, her slim figure, the way her fingers curled when she was mentioned, or the way her blue eyes flitted from me to my sister back to me with joy and fright. I could cave and let her come along I suppose just this once but Nat would have to work for it I think smugly. "When were you ever one to think, Natalie?" i spewed that was harsh but this girl could possibly make me feel again. I liked feeling numb. "Sister." she gasped almost breaking into a tear fit, we weren't about to go there. "I suppose it can't kill us if she tags along this once." I said to her rolling my eyes.
