Chapter 20

Raven

Hiro and Migz seemed like haven't spoken for years. They had talked about so many things already. Migz even pointed out what is going on since he left and what is Raven's up to and everything that makes them busy, which Hiro had quickly deciphered. But there's one thing Hiro couldn't move on without being discussed.

"So that's her." Migz quickly tilt his head when he heard his friend mumbling.

"You were saying something?"

"I didn't know Raven is dead serious about letting that girl become one of us."

"What do you mean? What are you talking about?"

Hiro lean forward like there is something about the topic."That Erin. I didn't know Raven would come this far." He said while refilling his glass with beer. For a moment Migz looked at him, intently, and Hiro snigger when he notice. "Why? That girl is the sister of Raven's ex-girlfriend in the Philippines."

"What?!"

"What? Wait, didn't you know that? Wait, don't tell me Raven hasn't told you yet."

"No, he didn't."

"You can't be serious..."

"Man, Raven hasn't mentioned anything about Erin. Hold on, how did you even know that? Is that even real?"

Hiro started laughing when he saw the reaction on his friend's face and Migz couldn't hide the annoyance from his face.

"He told me once before about her ex and that Erin. All this time I didn't know she was the one you were talking about. Raven hadn't told me what those people look like. I didn't even know that was Erin, though. But... I just know." Migz's jaw dropped in disbelief. "Man, I thought you know about that? Your best friends. You know him much more than I do, right? I can't believe you don't know all those stuff."

Hiro suddenly feels like teasing his friend. 

When Migz informed Hiro about Erin, he expects him to be relaxed as he always does. Unlike anyone, Hiro would take time to listen before doing a judgment. But he didn't him to have those reasonings.

He isn't only mad at Raven for not telling her the truth about Erin but also because he realizes he has to withstand Hiro's teasing ability which makes him even more annoying than he is already.

"Shut up. Why don't you start explaining yourself? You're gone for almost a month." He said, trying to change the subject.

"Well... I just realize how beautiful my hometown is. I haven't seen my family there for almost three years and I think of spending those time with them." He rolls his eyes with his arms crossed. "I'd like to bring all of you there you know."

Migz looked at Hiro. His sudden appearance shocked everyone. But Hiro is a man who loves surprises and he never failed when he makes one. Hiro visits his family in Japan for almost a month and a lot many things happened since then.

Having him around brought changes. Unlike Migz and Raven, Hiro is lively, funny, and easy to get along with. He takes a problem and settles things calmly. He's having unique vibe and charm that could lighten the situation, and now that he's here, everyone is looking forward to making things a little more manageable.

The next morning, Raven had to stay in bed. He's still worn out and could not even move a bit. The pain won't go with the injuries he got from yesterday but he still pushes himself to get out of bed with his eagerness of telling everyone what he and Erin found out.
