You wheezed on the floor. This stab was worse. So much worse.
"It's going to look terrible on the heroes if you are unscathed." Merc said. "Especially when you were a bleeding corpse on the news footage."
The blade felt thicker. You felt more of your muscle torn from Shria's forest man. This was punctured organs. You couldn't stay awake. It was too much. Even for you. Trying not to cough hurt more than spewing up the blood. Katsuki was screaming. Then gurgling.
The heroes were explaining their thinking, their morals, with each thwack at Katsuki.
You couldn't hear their words, but you knew what they were saying. Zaheer taught you to lip read after all. You couldn't let that go to waste.
Nika and Shria walked in. After. They were part of clean up. They happily greeted you. Glad you were back.
