"These twenty contestants have already been divided into two tribes of ten. Wearing gold... is the Shin Maw Tribe."

Kalyani (Shin Maw Tribe): Right now, I just feel, like, sooooo excited! (giggling) I never could have dreamed in a million years that I would actually get the opportunity to compete on Survivor, so to think that everything I've wanted for so long is coming to life right in front of me... it's actually such an insane feeling. I just need to let it sink in a little more.

Lauren (Shin Maw Tribe): There's a lot of people here, I think, that are just here to get the chance to play this game. But I don't want to "just play this game." I want to win. I want that million dollars probably more than everybody else on this tribe combined. I will do anything to win this game. I'll lie, I'll cheat, I'll manipulate... but I'll be good at what I'm doing and I'll get away with it. That's for sure.

John (Shin Maw Tribe): Literally every night of my life, I fall asleep dreaming of playing this game of Survivor. Survivor has pretty much been absorbed into my brain, at this point. It consumes my everyday thoughts and actions. It's that big. But I'm not gonna come out here and be that one superfan who's just destined to fall flat on Day 2 and be forgotten about for the rest of time. I'm here to make a mark on this game, and show these people that I'm more than who they might think I am at first.

-

"Wearing turquoise... is the Pyin Sa Tribe."

Adora (Pyin Sa Tribe): I honestly think people are gonna underestimate me in this game. I watch lots of Survivor back at home, and I know the show pretty damn well. People might view me as the dumb blonde girl, but I don't think it'll take that long for them to realize that I'm just as in it to win it as everybody else.

Rallin (Pyin Sa Tribe): Man, I'm SO pumped for this game. I'm so ready to just pop off in this game, and HOPEFULLY I won't crash and burn in the first few days. This is gonna be the biggest test to my patience, willpower, and determination that I'll ever face, but I'm ready to kick it into full gear whenever I need to.

Sam (Pyin Sa Tribe):  You put me in any group of people, and there's a pretty good chance I'll be the most athletic person there. Every single day, I go out in the morning and run around the block a few times. I might not do the best in the social or the strategic parts of this game, but they're gonna keep me around anyways for my physical abilities, I know it.

-

"It is the ultimate challenge. Twenty strangers forced to work together to create a new society, while battling the elements... and each other. They must learn to adapt, or they'll be voted out of the tribe."

"39 days..."

"20 people..."

"ONE. SURVIVOR."
