I look around my new room, it's really a little bit bigger than my old one. But it looks so empty and sad without any colors.
In my old room I had posters on the walls and I am looking forward to hang them up in this room now, I just have to find the right space for them.

There are two doors leading to something else. I open them and the first one reveals a walk-in closet which is a bit impressive since I didn't have one before.
Behind the second one there is my bathroom. It's a bit strange not to see a second door leading into it but mom already announced I would have my own bathroom.
My eyes scan the pale bedroom after I went back in and I let out a breath. This will be my new room.

There's a double bed in the middle of the room on the opposite side than the door. Next to the door is a little dresser-shelf thing with a TV nailed to the wall above it. On the left side of the room there is a window which shows a part of the enormous yard around us. Underneath there is a big desk with a chair.
The furniture is easy but as soon as I will put up some personal stuff, it's gonna look more comfortable.

I go to the boxes and bags in the entrance of my room and pull them in.
The first thing I do, is opening my backpack with the most essential things, well at least for me, and grab the Bluetooth music box.
I connect my phone and put my playlist on shuffle. Music makes cleaning and unpacking way more fun and I start dancing around a little while I put my cloths into the closet.
The now empty bags are easily stuffed in there too and I start to unpack my other belongings and decorate my room a little, making it my own.

Around two hours later I'm done and exhausted.
I fall onto the bed and it's honestly really comfortable. My eyes wander around my room and I smile at the posters and pictures I put up, this feels more like my room now.

A knock on my door pulls me out of my thoughts and I ask them to come in. Mom opens the door and looks around the room, smiling at the decorations.
"It looks great, malyschka." She compliments and I grin.
"Thanks, mom." I reply and she focuses back on me.
"Dinner is ready. I came to pick you up so I can show you to the kitchen and dining area." She explains and I get up from the bed.
I follow her out of my room and close the door behind me.

She leads me to the elevator we already took once to get to our rooms. There aren't as many levels as in the tower but it's still confusing since I didn't get the chance to explore it yet.
We step out into a little hallway that leads directly into a kitchen with an aisle.
There's a small living area next by and when we walk a bit further, there is a huge table were some of the Avengers already sit. I settle next to my mom, the chair on the other side empty.
Opposite of me Thor is sitting and chats with Steve. Since it's our first 'official' night here, Pepper was so kind to take care of the cooking and I almost drool when I see the delicious meal she prepared.

We start to eat and I hum in enjoyment, Pepper makes the best meals!
There is a lot of chatting as usual but no one loses a single word about the mission they just were on. I'm kind of relieved thought because I settled with what I know and don't need further explanations of the danger they were in.

After dinner mom shows me the rest of this floor which includes a way bigger living room with gaming consoles and stuff and some bathrooms.
We head back upstairs and I notice a slight change.
Our doors now have our names on them. I mean it does makes sense since they all look the same.
We say our good nights, split and I go to my room to brush my teeth and get dressed for bed.
I lay in bed and turn off the light. The darkness around me is different than in my old room and stare at the ceiling.
It feels weird to be here, even though I felt comfortable before, I now feel strange.

After some turning and tossing, I get up and silently get out of my room to knock on my mom's door.
"Come in." I hear her voice and she looks up from her book when I enter.
"Everything okay, dorogory?" She asks and puts her book aside.
I nod and walk over to the empty side of her bed to get under the covers.
Her eyes follow my action and she holds up the blanket for me to get under.

"I know I'm a big girl but can I maybe stay this night with you?" I ask and watch as she smiles in return and opens her arms for me to cuddle into.
"Of course you can stay, malyschka." She answers and brushes some hair out of my face as I lean against her.
She sits since she was reading a book but scootches down so she lays next to me. Her hand starts to absentmindedly comb through my hair which makes my body calm down.

"I just have to get up a bit earlier tomorrow since I have a meeting with Fury and some others." She informs me and I nod against her shoulder.
"It's just so I don't have to spend the first night alone in my room. I know it sounds childish but it feels different and strange." I tell her quietly.
"It doesn't sound childish, moya lyubov. Change can be scary and there is nothing wrong with seeking comfort." She assures me and kisses my hair.
"Thank you, mama." I say and look up to meet her green eyes.
She smiles at me.

"The meeting will probably take a while. Are you okay to explore the compound on your own a little?" She asks.
"Of course. I need to see what rooms Tony integrated into this thing." I grin.
"Speaking of Tony. He said he also installed a new version of Jarvis, it's called Friday. Apparently you can reach it from everywhere in the compound, just ask for it. Well, except in our rooms. I told Tony to keep his program outside of our private areas. But it's accessible everywhere else." Mom tells me and I nod in understanding.

"Breakfast should be there so you can just make yourself whatever you feel like." She informs me and I nod again, yawing afterwards.
"Good night, malyschka." She kisses my hair again.
"Good night and sweet dreams." I mumble back, my eyes already closed.
Her fingers combing through my hair somehow always makes me sleepy.
And as if she wants to make sure, I really fall asleep, she starts humming the lullaby she sang for me when I was little.
All of this lulls me successfully to sleep and I drift off into the dream world.

A/n: We're finally at the compound and got settled in.
In the next chapter we will explore a little and maybe meet someone...
