A few minutes later we arrive at a small café that y/n leads me into. She finds a nice table for two and sits down. I follow her and do the same, looking around the small café. It looks very cozy and calm. Soft music is silently playing in the background and there are a few plants and flowers. The walls are decorated with art and on some of the benches along the wall are a few pillows. All in all it gives off a relaxed, comfortable vibe.

A waiter comes and hands us small menus. I look over it and think about what to order, everything sounds good. But I finally decide on a tea and a piece of cake. Y/n orders a hot chocolate and a muffin.

When the waiter leaves our table again, she gets a little nervous again, so I take her hands in mine and stroke them to calm her down. It works and her eyes lock with mine. A shy smile plays around her lips. It's adorable to see her being shy. Usually she is more confident in what she does.

"Everything okay?" I ask and search her eyes for any sign of feeling uncomfortable.

"Yeah, I'm just nervous because I don't know if it's a good first date. I really want it to be special for you but I'm unsure if this is enough. I never planned a date, so I don't know. Clint helped me planning it but still, he is an adult and maybe this is boring or so and I don't want that. I want it to be special for you." She rambles and sighs. I continue stroking over the back of her hand.

"It's perfect. I love it and couldn't have wished for a better first date. You did great in surprising me with the bookstore and this café is also great. Don't worry about it, I'm not bored at all, I love spending time with you. You even could have just planned a day in bed, both of us reading or so and it would have been great." I assure her and watch her body relax, her shoulders releasing some tension and she smiles.

"Thank you and I'm really glad you enjoy it so much. I had no clue what to do, I just know you're not supposed to go watch a movie." She admits.

"Have you ever been on a date before?" I ask and watch as she shakes her head. Somehow this just made me really happy, I'm also her first date ever, and her first girlfriend.

"No, that made it even harder but as long as you like it, I am happy." She answers with a smile.
It's so addictive to see her smile and there is nothing I love seeing more.

Our orders arrive and we thank the waiter before we dig into our food. I hum at the taste and lean my head back, it's amazing. Y/n watches me in delight and I stick my tongue out at her when my mouth is empty again. She returns it before we eat in comfortable silence.
I sip my tea watching her finish her muffin.

"You know what I don't know about you?" I ask and she looks up at me and shakes her head.

"I don't know what your favorite color is or food or show or any other favorite."
Her eyes widen at the realization and she nods.

"We never talked about that." She agrees. "Let's change that. Let me see...my favorite color is y/f/c (your favorite color), my favorite show... that's a hard one but I'd say probably y/f/s (your favorite show) and my favorite food is y/f/f (your favorite food)."

I take in the new information and think about my answers for a second.

"My favorite color is red, not like a bright red but a little darker shade, I think it's called scarlet red but the darker shade of it. My favorite food would be paprikash, it's a Sokovian dish. And my favorite show is the Dick van Dyke show." I close off my list.

"That dish sounds good, do you know how to make it? Because I would love to try it, especially when it's your favorite." Y/n adds with a wink and I grin.
