We listen to the chirping of the crickets and the cry of an owl. A cold breeze brushes through our hair and I pull the blanket closer around us.
Wanda's head rests on my shoulder and she looks up at the sky. My arm is wrapped around her shoulder while my other hand holds one of her hands.

I can't take my eyes off her face while hers still look at the sky above us. Well, not directly the sky but the parts that aren't covered by the leaves.
Our bodies are wrapped in a blanket to keep us warm since it's gotten a little chillier after the sun went down.

We decided to sleep in the woods today. Just to get away from the busyness of the compound.
We got a tent build up, lots of blankets, an air matrass, a lot of pillows and fairy lights that we hung up in the tent.

The sun went down around an hour ago and ever since that, we're sitting here, enjoying the sounds of nature and the calm moment just for us.

After the rescue mission and the meetings to talk it through, we wanted some time to ourselves without being disturbed. Mom wasn't too happy about the idea of camping in the woods but eventually agreed when I reminded her that Wanda has powers who can protect us.

Mom's and Wanda's relationship as improved a lot since that mission. It seems like mom finally fully trusts her and I couldn't be happier about it. They are very kind and sweet around each other and sometimes I have a feeling that mom maybe sees Wanda as a second daughter or at least in some way.

Wanda also has my full trust back. After knowing what she did in the beginning with the vision in mom's head, I thought it might take a little more time but seeing as she saved mom's life, I trust Wanda more than ever. If she really wanted to hurt any of the Avengers, she wouldn't have saved them.
I told her that and she was more than happy that day and hugged me for a long time.

I feel her slightly shiver next to me and kiss her temple which makes her look at me with a fuzzy smile.

"Wanna go into the tent? I think it's a little warmer in there." I offer and she nods with a smile.

We still stay like we are for a few more seconds before I unwrap myself from the blanket to wrap the rest around her as well and get up. Wanda goes to protest but I just nod towards the tent and she rolls her eyes playfully at me.
I offer my hand to pull her up and she takes it, letting me lead her to the tent.

Before getting in, we get out of our shoes and Wanda closes the zipper so nothing can get into the tent at night.
I switch on the fairy lights and smile happily when they light up the ceiling of the tent, creating a magical atmosphere. Wanda joins me on the matrass and we both cuddle into the pillows and blankets.
Her head rests on my shoulder while her finger starts to draw random shapes onto my stomach. It gives me a warm, tingling feeling that I adore. She always makes me feel happy and cared for.

"I talked to Tony about the training program." I start a conversation and rest one arm beneath my head while the other I securely wrapped around my girlfriend's waist.
Wanda's head lifts off my shoulder and she looks at me, her eyes sparkling with joy and curiosity.

"What did he say?" She asks and for a moment she forgets the shapes on my body.

"He said that he actually thought about it for a while. I always got some training through my mom and he always saw potential. Especially after the last mission, he thinks I'd be a good addition to the team. I can follow orders and understand how to react if something goes off plan. I might not be quite ready to be an Avenger yet and go on big, dangerous missions but that's what the program is for, to train certain people to become Avengers. He'll talk to mom about some details and in a week or so I can start with my training." I share excitedly. Wanda's eyes grow at my words.
