It's Okay To Cry

"...Huh? Human... Trafficking?" don said looking confused at the four of us while gilda just sat there in silence with a contemplating look on her face

"Yeah... All of our siblings that left here so far have been sold off to these bad guys." emma said looking down on the floor with a sad look on her face

I looked over to where ray was. Side glancing the two as they explained everything with a twist to don and gilda

I sighed and just waited for everything to unfold

Don looked at the four of us with a sweat drop then, he started laughing out loud

"I was worried that you were gonna tell us something bad from the looks on your faces... But this?! No freaking way!" don laughed slapping his chest with a bit of tears on his eyes

Emma and norman looked at don with a sad look on their faces

"Don... Think for a moment about everything. The gate, the fence, the numbers on our necks or how none of our siblings who already left didnt send us any letters or cards!" norman said trying to reason with don

"Good one! So what's the punch line? Is this the setting of a new game were playing?" don said still laughing

Don looked around and saw that we werent laughing with him

He only saw looks of saddness, contemplation and that shows no emotion at all

"Huh?... Woah you guys are joking, right?" don said with a nervous smile on his face with a sweat drop

"Nope." ray said dropping a massive bomb on don like it was all good

"Wait... Then... But... What about mama?" don asked, his voice cracking as he asked it, looking dumbfounded as he did so

"She's the one, who's been selling our siblings off." emma said looking at the ground with a sad look

Don looked at emma in anger grabbed her by her shoulders and shouted "WHAT?! QUIT JOKING AROUND! THIS ISNT FUNNY ANYMORE! THERE'S NO WAY MAMA WOULD DO THAT TO ANY OF US SHE LOVES US WITH ALL HER HEART! SHE WOULDNT SELL US!  DROP THIS SICK JOKE ALREADY AND APOLOGIZE EMMA!"

I saw gilda stood up and said "Don... I dont think emma would lie about something like this... She loves our family and mama too much!"

Don let go of emma looking at gilda with fear while emma looked with a sad look at gilda and said "Gilda..."

I went next to her rubbing her back trying my best to give her comfort then she continued

"And also... I've been feeling like you all have been acting weird lately. Ever since emma, harley and norman went to the gate that night and came back... Usually the two of you would come clean by telling mama the truth if you ever broke one of our house rule. And yet... Not only did you not apologize... But you both even told me to keep quiet of the fact that you three left at all! And then soon after, mama started making us do a ton of chores as if were being punished for something bad. Then emma started dissapearing somewhere. Then norman seemed to be a lot more serious than usual and harley became distant from us... So it kept getting harder and harder to ask you guys what happened... And... And..."

She hid on my chest and started balling. I could feel her tears soaking my shirt but I didnt mind

I started comforting her, whispering sweet nothing to her ears as she continues to cry on my chest as she moves towards my shoulder making us hug

I looked at the others and saw emma looking at us again with the sad look while don, ray and norman were talking

I payed the boys no mind and just looked at emma as I comforted gilda

Our eyes meet and I gave her a sad smile then tried to make her come to us with my eyes pointing at the crying girl

Emma walked next to us and I opened my arms giving her a chance to join in on the hug

She joined in and said "I'm sorry for making you worry so much!"

"Emma... Harley... Did you see... Conny getting sold off to the bad guys?..." gilda asked, hiccuping as she asked it

"Yes... But we didnt make it in time." emma said

"Wait a minute... Could it be that conny..." don said then looked at norman grabing him by his shoulders and continued "Conny is safe right?... She's alright, right? We should escape this house and save conny! "

"That would be impossible... Because she's already died..."
