A Tired Reunion

"Hurry up! It's just up ahead. We're almost there." the man said, as he kept running, while we try to keep up

Mostly norman and I. Mama was following him closely behind. I looked behind me and saw that norman was getting slower and slower

"HEY! Let's rest for a while, we've been running for hours." I exclaimed getting the two adults to stop

"He's right. What's the point of us getting there, if we're too tired to fight." the man said, plopping down near a tree

"It can't be helped. Let's rest for 10 minutes then continue again." mama said sitting down next to us

I looked over at norman and he looked like he had seen better days

"Here." mama said giving us water and food. We said our thanks and started to slowly eat it, savoring each bite

"How much longer do we need to go?" norman asked as he was starting to calm down

"Not long anymore." the man said as he took a bite from his food

We sat there in silence, trying to get as much rest as we could get. It wasn't long until we heard a noise coming from somewhere near us

We quickly rose to our feet and took aim, waiting for sudden movements

"There shouldn't be any demons here this close to goldy pond." the man said looking around gum ready and aimed

"You can't be too careful. Anything can happen." I said, looking around

We heard rustling coming from behind us. We instantly took aim and waited

"Where do you think they are?" we heard a girl said from a distance

We looked at each other and started to move again this time to where the voice came from

"I don't know but from what lucas said, they should be here." we heard another voice that was all too familiar

We heard voices talking getting louder and louder, getting us closer and closer until, we saw 5 people standing in a circle.

"Emma? Harley?" Norman asked looking at the group with hope

2 girls turned around and it was them. The two looked at us with a smile and ran over to us

Norman and I prepared for a hug but we only felt the wind passing us by. We turned to look at each other confused then looked behind us and saw emma and harley hugging mama

"Mama! I'm glad you're safe!" emma said, hugging mama as if she was a life line

"We were so worried about you." harley said also hugging mama

Mama looked at us confused but nevertheless accepted the gesture

I felt someone tap my shoulder, I looked to my side and saw norman with his arms out

"Come on, ray." he said with a smile. I shook my head and went for a hug

As norman and I were having a moment, we heard snickering. We looked to see who it was and saw harley covering her mouth giggling

"What's so funny?" I asked

"Ray and norman sitting near a tree. K I S S I N G." harley sang getting a laugh from emma and mama

"What kind of childish song is that?!" I exclaimed, pulling out from the hug

"Awh! Is rayray embawised? Look, his even blushing." harley said with a lisp

"I am not!" I exclaimed getting frustrated with this girl

"Relax. I was just playing. How are you doing, ray? You look like shit." harley said as she went for a hug and while emma went to hug norman

"Been running for days now. I wouldn't be surprised if the soles of my feet are bleeding at this point." I said with a scoff

Harley let out a laugh and said "Once we go back, you can get some well needed rest."

"Why did you pass by us earlier?" I heard norman asked

"Because, harley thought it would be funny and it was." emma said with a chuckle

Harley went to hug norman and emma went to hug me next. Then we did a family hug

We heard someone clearing their throat. We looked to see who it was and saw a girl

"Guys, this is violet. She was the first one, I met in goldy pond." emma said introducing is to each other

"It's nice to meet you all. While those two talk to the other adult. I wanted to ask if any of you are injured or not?" violet asked

"I'm good. Just tired from all the running" norman said with a smile

"Same." I said

"Me too, dear." mama said

"Alright then. If you guys can still keep on going, we can get a move on and go back to base. There's some people I want you a to meet." violet said

"Can you guys still run? Walk even?" harley asked

"We can still keep going." mama said

"No offense mama but you look like you aged by a lot." harley said getting a smack from mama

"Ow! What was that for?" harley asked as she soothed the back of her head

"I aged because, I thought you two were kidnapped or even worse killed." mama said

"Mama still looks the same. She's just tired is all." emma said

"Why can't you be nice as emma here, harley?" mama asked

Harley looked like she was lost for words "But... I was only trying to help!?"
