We Are Not Who We Were

People may remember our mistakes but God will forget our sins the moment He forgave us.

Nakakalungkot isipin na 'yong dating tayo na kinalimutan na natin at binago na natin ay pilit pa ring bumabalik sa ating isipan at alaala. At ang mas nakakalungkot at nakakadiscourage pa ay bini-bring up pa rin 'yon ng ibang tao like it just happened yesterday. We have moved on and changed the way we live pero ang nakikita pa rin nila ay ang dating tayo. And sometimes they even make fun of it.

But praise God kasi hindi Siya tao na pagkakamali lang natin ang nakikita at naaalala Niya. In fact, He said "For I will forgive their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins." (Romans 8:12)

We are not who we were. Yes, nagkamali tayo noon pero hindi ibig sabihin na hindi na tayo puwedeng magbago. Nagkamali tayo pero hindi ibig sabihin na wala na tayong pag-asa. By God's grace, we have been cleansed from our iniquities. And the moment na pinatawad Niya tayo, hindi na rin Niya alalahanin pa ang mga kasalanan natin dati. Huwag tayong maniwala sa kasinungalingan na wala na tayong pag-asang magbago. Huwag tayong magpadala sa emosyon at sa sulsol ng kaaway. Maybe some people will remember the wrong things we did pero si God hindi na. Tapos na 'yon. Let's try to move forward no matter how slow and impossible as it seems. For God, walang mabagal at mabilis. Lahat ng phase natin ay planado Niya. And remember that God is patient. He is always patient with us. Pero sana umusad din tayo at huwag ng mag-dwell pa sa past. Padayon lang! And let us always remember that God loves us and His grace is always sufficient for our weakness.
