Matthew 14:22-34 We can learn from Peter's experience na nakalakad siya sa ibabaw ng tubig pero nang nagshift 'yong focus niya sa hangin nalunod siya. He cried out to Jesus and Jesus immediately saved him.
Puwede palang we have faith in God pero nawawala siya kasi nagfo-focus tayo sa circumstances rather than what God CAN do with and in those adversities. Peter could have experienced one of the best moments in his life. Imagine among 12 disciples, he was the only one who experienced that.
In the same way, we experience God's faithfulness and miracles but they will all be forgotten if we look at the problem in a wrong perspective. That's why the Bible says, "O come let us MAGNIFY the Lord together. Let His praise be continually on our lips!" We magnify the Lord not because He is small but we look at Him that way. Minamaliit natin 'yong kapangyarihan Niya.
But the best part of this story? It's when Peter called out, "Lord, save me!" and then Jesus IMMEDIATELY reached out His hand and saved Peter. The assurance to us is Jesus is always available in times of trouble. He will surely save us when we call upon His powerful name. ^_^
