Nothing Here On Earth Can Quench Our Thirst. Only Jesus Can.
John 19:28 Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.”
Jesus is hundred percent man, hundred percent God. Tayong may physical body pa, normal lang na magutom tayo, mauhaw at makaramdam ng klase klaseng emosyon. At dahil hundred percent man si Jesus, Siya rin ay nauuhaw. Ibig sabihin, tayong normal na tao ay nauuhaw, si Jesus din ay nauuhaw dahil tao Siya.
But if we reflect this to our Spiritual body, ang ating soul ay nakakaranas din ng pagkauhaw. Bakit? Maybe because we no longer love the Lord, humihina tayo sa Kanya o 'di na talaga tayo lumalapit sa Panginoon. It's like we make ourselves our gods. Kung tayo literal na nauuhaw, umiinom tayo ng tubig o kaya ng juice o softdrinks.—anything that can satisfy our thirst. And just like sa Spiritual body natin, umiinom din tayo. Pero paano? JESUS IS THE ONLY SOLUTION. For Jesus is the LIVING WATER and anyone who drinks from Him will never be thirsty again. GOD WILL SATISFY OUR THIRST AND HUNGER! We take His word as the food of our Spiritual body.
We should not take our spiritual thirst lightly. Kahit anong gawin natin, kung di tayo lalapit kay Hesus, wala pa ring mangyayari. We will not be satisfied. Hindi tayo makukuntento. Hindi tayo fully happy with our lives. That is why, we go back to God and He will quench our thirst. Lapit lang tayo palagi sa Panginoon and surrender everything to Him.
