Recently I was diagnosed of having a liver problem and I have small kidney stones. Akala ko matatanggap ko siya kasi sabi ko, "Lord, Sa iyo naman po ang buhay ko. You give it and You take it away."
Few days passed when that health issue became a big thing to me. Naging iyakin at sensitive ako because I was thinking I was bearing that "problem". But praise God for my friends and Pastors for cheering me up. Bakit ako matatakot sa life ko gayong may Diyos ako? I still believe ONLY GOD CAN HEAL. After that palagi na akong umiinom ng tubig at kumakain sa tamang oras plus healthy foods like gulay saka 'di na ako kumakain ng chichirya.
Last night as I was about to sleep, I thought about my health condition. Consequences 'yon ng poor lifestyle ko before. Lalo noong bata pa ako sobrang hilig ko sa hilaw na mangga at mga chichirya. Hilig ko rin sa suka. Then I thought, 'yon pa lang ang naging resulta ng pagiging pabaya ko sa sarili ko. How much more sa sin???
Sabi ni St. Paul, "for the wages of sin is death." Ang kabayaran ng kasalanan ay kamatayan. It means eternal separation from God and eternal suffering in hell. Kaya grabe si Lord, 'no? Instead of us facing the consequences of our sins, Jesus died para mapatawad ang ating mga kasalanan.
I was just utterly amazed what Jesus did on the cross. Kung ang consequences ng poor lifestyle natin ay sakit, ang consequence naman ng kasalanan natin ay KAMATAYAN. Araw-gabi tayong umiiyak at nagmamakaawa na patawarin tayo ng Diyos pero huli na ang lahat. Dahil dito pa lang sa mundo hindi na natin 'yan ginawa.
Just imagine physical torture sa atin sa hell 24/7. At ang mas nakakatakot ay hindi na tayo namamatay doon. That's why we must be grateful dahil sa ginawa ni Jesus. Inalay Niya ang buhay Niya para sa kapatawaran ng ating mga kasalanan. At habang ikaw at ako ay nabubuhay pa sa mundo, we are graciously given a chance to repent from our sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and personal Savior.
At mamuhay ayon sa kalooban ng Diyos. ^_^
